Congrats Asha! I was actually wondering if all the Unis release their results on the same day or not. My results came out last Friday, I was such a nervous wreck it too me until about 6 that night to check when my bf eventually bullied me into it lol. |

Thanks Rhiannon!
My dad got his results last Friday as well, but my brother doesn't get his sent out until next Thursday lol. Although I think he already knows he's passed, he just doesn't know the exact marks.
It sucks so much that they don't all come out at the same time, I get nagged so much by my parents because I'm supposedly 'hiding my results from them', which I'm obviously not if UWS hasn't even released them lol.
Haha, I was putting off checking mine because I honestly thought I was going to fail my PR subject. I came out of the exam thinking I did soooo badly, and from then on I was so paranoid I was going to fail the whole subject.
And then I knew if I failed, I would end up crying lol, so I was waiting until the parentals left for work haha.
At one stage last year, everybody in my house was a student of some sort.
And now both my parents are fucking homework nazis because they're both ~qualified teachers~
Doesn't matter that mum is actually a pre-school teacher lmfaooo.

Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 2281 | July 13th, 2008 at 10:58pm Haha, oh I know how that feels. I had a serious fight with mum come end of Year 12 cause I didn't open my ENTER score for daaaays. It's like they're our results. Really, it's our choice to open them at our own discretion.
I can sympathise with thinking you've failed, too. I was sure I'd fail Genetics. Somehow I passed that. Got H1s for my other two subjects (which is Melbourne Uni's weird way of saying High Distinction) and I got a H2B in the subject I was told I needed 70+ for to get into the 3rd year subject I wanted - so I basically got everything I said I wanted to get, yet I'm still disappointed that I didn't do better lol.
On a random note, I'm so sick of people chucking a spazz about K-Rudd swearing. His swearing is apparently mild. They said he doesn't swear in public, but swears in private not in front of women but sometimes in front of his male staff members. Um... so what? Who doesn't swear? Some of the nicest people I know have their moments, and the fact he doesn't swear in front of women means he's more gentleman than most.
Seriously, find something worthy to write a news story about. |

Hope your day is/has been going great.
I just got back from Melbourne this morning.
Suuuuuuch a good weekend. Went shopping. Spent a shitload of money, haha.
We also went to the football on Saturday afternoon, to see Crows and Collingwood.
Sucks that we lost, but it was fun.
AND OMG, I'VE NEVER BEEN SO COLD BEFORE IN MY LIFE.
I don't know how you Victorians do it, but it was freeeezing. |

I had the cake at home last night with my neighbours and realised I had no candles to blow out because sparklers go out by themselves
and my 15yr old neighbour made me the best card:

And LOL Jules. Chyeah, it's pretty cold here. You get used to it, though. Where I went was much colder than it was in Melbourne, being more southern and beachy hehe. But nothing a few scarves and jackets coudn't fix. |

Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 19598 | July 14th, 2008 at 02:26am I didn't realise how much colder it was than Adelaide!
Luckily I packed enough warm stuff.
We went to the casino on Saturday night, and I was literally getting beaten around by the wind! It was insane!
Oh, and you have THE most amazing shops there.
We spent yesterday at Chadstone and Chapel Street.
I was soooooo close to buying a top from Alannah Hill, except the price being $190 sort of put me off. =P
And I wanted to buy just about everything from the Ed Hardy shop, but alas, I didn't have thousands of dollars aimlessly lying around, haha. |

Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 2281 | July 14th, 2008 at 02:33am Haha, yeah, I'm always warning people who come here how cold it is. But I find no one believes it til they get here, they figure it couldn't be much colder. Most people get freaked out by how quickly it changes, but from what I hear it was pretty contant in Melbourne for a change. Where I was changed from sunshine to rain and storms by the hour.
Man, that's pricey for a top. Did you do the shops along Brunswick Street? Most are unconventional, but so awesome. Though my favourite shop there closed down.
Most of the best shops I think are the ones that are a bit out of the way. Most you never dicover til someone tells you about it. |

Age: - Gender: - Posts: 1416 | July 14th, 2008 at 05:32am My uni results STILL haven't come out. One of my subjects was finished on JUNE SIXTH. It's ridiculous. Some people who had exams have some of their results already, IT'S NOT FAIR, I want my results! Geez. Supps are next week so they'd better get out soon. (Not that that affects me at all, seeing as I didn't have exams )
Bart's gone to Sydney now and I already miss him =(
But today I bought The Black Parade is Dead!, Listen to Little Red (Little Red's album), Singstar 80s and Singstar Rocks, and I only spent $10 all day xD Yay for birthday vouchers and sales! Hehe =) |

Awww, that sucks about not having results, and Bart being in Sydney ):
But jeez, you got some bargains!
haha xD
I just changed my major, yayyyy.
My marks in Journalism weren't as good as I wanted them to be, and I wasn't really enjoying it anymore,
so I've swapped to the Advertising/Marketing major, yay!
I was considering majoring in that before, but I went back to Journalism because that was what I originally wanted to do.
It'll set me back a bit time-wise, but I'll be a lot happier doing it, so it's definitely worth it (:

Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 2281 | July 14th, 2008 at 08:23am Apparently they announced it in March at Easterfest. I only found out cause they're doing a farewell show at HiFi.
I only saw them once, always wanted to see them again but just never did. Took for granted that they'd always be around. Gah. |

Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 2281 | July 14th, 2008 at 08:19pm To be entirely random, if anyone wants to see holidays snaps I have them here on my LiveJournal, for a limited time only. Haha, I'm lame. But yeah, I'm gonna lock the entry to friends only soon. I'm leaving it public for today cause some friends who don't have LJ wanna see them. If you're a sucker for pretty scenery than there's a lot of pretties there. |

Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 2281 | July 15th, 2008 at 12:28am Haha, that's so odd, LJ is NEVER down. Like they maybe take it down once in a blue moon. Not like MyBook and FaceSpace.
I'll leave them up til after you're home then, cause I'm not gonna put them on Facebook or anything. |
