---Well I searched and didn't find anything like this but if this has already been done, or this is the wrong place, or you think it's pointless, feel free to delete it. This is somewhat like the Vegetarianism/Veganism thread in the Discussion Board, but here you can ask questions, answer questions, and comment like you can't in the Discussion Board.
Admin edit: If you're here to discuss the morals and debate the idea of veg*anism (vegan/vegetarian), leave; there is a Discussion Board thread for that.
So basically who here's a vegetarian? A vegan? Even omnivores come here and ask, answer, and comment!
*Again, I apologize if this has been done, is in the wrong place, or is pointless. |

Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 21121 | January 21st, 2008 at 10:48pm I thought about being a vegan for the heck of it.
Then I thought that there's no way I could do that.
So I decided to be a vegetarian instead.
Later that day I forgot all about it and ate some meat.
There's a random fact for you. |

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 7686 | January 21st, 2008 at 10:58pm I was a pescetarian for 6 months.
I've been a vegetarian for 3 weeks.
I hate saying that out loud b/c it makes me feel less committed to the cause of animal rights.
I'm an active member of PETA.
I've been thinking about becoming a vegan but it would def. be a year or 2 in the future. I have to get the hang of being a vegetarian first.

Age: - Gender: - Posts: 43317 | February 6th, 2008 at 03:23pm Well, this could be used so people talk about being vegeterians themselves and such, so there wouldn't be spam like that in the DB thread.
I think we need this. |

Age: 35 Gender: - Posts: 105653 | February 6th, 2008 at 03:30pm Well, since it's approved; thanks nusa. =)
I've been trying to slowly get myself away from meat.
But living in a hispanic family is kind of hard, since life literally revolves around meat.
Literally every meal has some type of meat in it. So, it makes it super difficult. |

Age: 96 Gender: Female Posts: 2731 | February 6th, 2008 at 03:55pm I would like to be vegetarian/vegan, but i confess; that is purely for weight loss reasons only.
Fact for today: Some scientists claim vegetarians run a lower risk of heart disease =D
Although that is probably just because they tend to live a healthier lifestyle than many others. |

Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 14696 | February 6th, 2008 at 04:00pm I'm a vegetarian.
I have been for a year and two months now.
I feel much better than I did when I ate meat, I know that.
But there are three foods that I'm having a hard time getting over (as silly as it sounds):
Butter, whipped cream and mayonnaise. |

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 68648 | February 6th, 2008 at 05:06pm The only thing I hate about being vegetarian, is that I have to check things that you wouldn't expect to have animals in.
Like, my mom bought some chocolate mousse, and I checked it just incase,
and it had pork something in it.
Why does it need animals in that. D:
So now I have to check pretty much everything just incase. |

Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 18432 | February 6th, 2008 at 05:10pm I once went veggie for about a month and I kept looking at my parents while they ate their meat and I started trying to eat less meat and now I'll never go back to being veggie. I can't stay away from meat. I need the protein that's in it to survive. I do eat healthy. That's about it. |

It didn't work too well for me, since pretty much every meal had some kind of meat. |

You can get meat-free substitutes for everything so you can get your protein and stuff.

Age: - Gender: - Posts: 45639 | February 6th, 2008 at 05:42pm I'm vegetarian, it'll be two years may 19th since I've stopped eating meat.
I don't find it very hard at all, I haven't slipped once. I highly doubt I'll go back to eating meat. (:
but I just hate reading everything I eat. hidden animal products are the most annoying things ever. I've found pork fat in a desert thing, chicken fat in my rice, and I hate when I find bug colourings in my juice or pop. DDDD:
it's so gross.
that's the only part I find annoying. especially if my parents don't read labels over carefully, buy something, and then I find something I can't eat in it. D:
but I feel like 10x more healthier since I've stopped eating meat. and I like faux meat a lot more. schnieders faux chicken is to die for. |
