You were such a kind man, always genuine and always interesting to be around.
One of my earliest childhood memories had something to do with being at your place, in your front yard. It's blurry now, I can't recall it very well.
The last time I saw you I think was sometime last year, at somebody's birthday party. You had your big black dog there, Gabe, and I remember you were having a hard time walking.
I just found out today that you had been struggling with cancer and hepatitis.
I'll miss you, and I know my aunt and uncle will miss you even more; you were one of their best friends.
We'll all miss you. |

I hardly knew you, but we have all been affected by your tragic death. My heart goes out to your lovely girlfriend and family and friends. The few times I hung out with you, you were always joyful and went out of your way to put a smile on your friends' faces. I'll never forget you.

I didn't know you... well, at all really, but you were so very clearly loved and I'm so sorry for the hurt and loneliness you felt in the days leading up to your death. I was really pained by hearing that you had killed yourself and would give anything to go back and extend a listening ear or shoulder to cry on. Hearing about your death so soon after Jimmy's was a shock. You'll always be remembered, even by people who didn't know you.
RIP Professor Lawson.
Freshman studies was one of my favorite classes, although I didn't show it nearly enough. You were one of the most enthusiastic, well-meaning professors or teachers I've ever had and I'm not just saying that: you had this never-ending dedication to your department that was very clear to everyone who knew you.
