Okay, so I decided, to breathe new life back into the Poetry Thread and maybe get more people in here, new and old, to restart the Poetry Challenge. First of all the credit for the idea has to go to House./Crash who started the original challenge which unfortunately got closed down. Anyway, I’d really appreciate it if some of you guys took part in this because I know there’s talent floating around this board and it’s a good way for beginners to get involved, improve their skills and make this board more of a community again.
So, it’ll be pretty much the same as the last Poetry Challenge. A prompt will be given each week, pictures, video, quotes, whatever I come up with, and then it’s up to you guys to interpret it in any way you want to. I’ll try and keep the prompt quite vague so you have more freedom with it because I know it can sometimes be hard to write to a very specific idea.
The prompt will be posted in a separate thread, which will also contain the entries each week, which should be PM’ed to me by Friday and I’ll post them in the thread for voting, on Friday mornings hopefully. The winners will be announced on Sunday, as well as the new prompt.
However, as this is new, I'm going to post the first prompt now and you'll have until next friday to PM them to me and the next prompt will be posted on Sunday.
This thread will be used for commenting on the poems and any questions or queries you might have : ) |

Hey I was thinking, seeing as alot of the competitions on here, mainly in the media thread, have little like, banners or some sort of graphic for the winners, I know this has nothing to do with graphics and media really but I thought maybe it'd be nice to make something like that up for the winners to put in their profiles or whatever, like, a representation of that weeks prompt, the winners username and what place they came, something like that?

or a minimum?. Like atleast 3 stanza`s, etc?.
oh, and I don`t come online during the weekends so

There a bit crappy but I did my best for the first one XD.
