and... the video for Nine In The Afternoon isn't being played enough either. I don't think they're even on the charts. =/
music channels here suck. MTV is, well, fine. but Myx is too busy with opm.
Pretty.Odd. is too underrated now, in our place, I guess.

SO.
The girl who bought my ticket to panic, one of the girls that I'm going with, she just bought Pretty. Odd., and this is what she said
"so i'm listening to panics new album
and i absolutely hate it :c
its horrible :c"
I mean, it definitely is a little change from the previous record but... I mean... O_O

- so i suppose i should give you my break down of the new panic (no more ! because we're a serious band) at the disco record, pretty oddful.
let me start by saying, its not terrible. i dont hate it, but it definitely put me to sleep. megan put it like this, "its easy listening." exactly. its place is in the elevator of rock. dont fool yourself, this is nothing more than radio rock. which is fine, if thats what you're going for. good for them. but yo, not pushing any boundaries. and when are bands going to learn that there is no such thing as a hit song without a hook. all these bands think that because they play pop-punk well, well then that obviously means they are 'true artists' and their creative genius transcends genres. that being said. 9 in the afternoon is good and catchy and northern downpour is decent.
let me put it like this, remember the first time you heard 'fever'? remember how stoked you were to ride around in your car singing at the top of your lungs? you would put that shit on repeat, i know i did. this is my challenge: go back and listen to it again, then immediately listen to the new record. notice a difference? well, outside of how god-awful the new lyrics are (dude just needs to go back to lifting chuck p. lyrics). hey, do you like uninspiring songs about clouds and birds and the weather? oh, well this is right up your alley.
"Clouds are marching along,
singing a song, just like they do.
If the clouds were singing a song,
I'd sing along, wouldn't you too?"
holy fuck. you're fired.
you just wrote an amazing record that sold millions of records, and this is what you come up with? really? really.
"Oh, how it's been so long
We're so sorry we've been gone
We were busy writing songs for
you."
assuring you, the listener, that they still care...oh, and apologies all around.
so listen to them side by side and tell me if you feel the same. double yawn.
i know some people were looking for reviews awhile back

I think the lyrics in pretty. odd. are a lot more better and mature than Fever.
I don't get why everyone fears maturity so much. I never really liked panic that much.
but after I heard pretty. odd. I liked them a lot more.
