Shawn, the singer is an artist, he fiddles with things on photoshop etc, and here you can check out his AMAZING stuff =]

Posts: 8968 | February 15th, 2008 at 02:42am i adore this band beyond reason. i would elaborate but i think it would be too intense and would crash the ino servers or something of the like. er, i've seen them three times and i'm seeing them twice again on march 24th and 25th... their live show gets better every time and is probably either the best or tailing at a close 2nd place.
i love shawn. |: it is my scientific opinion that he is the most beautiful creature on the planet - quite possibly from consuming the souls of rare sea turtles, but, that is just my scientific opinion.
a band in hope is... wonderful. i've listened to it constantly for the past five/six days and i feel the songs already becoming the back of my hand, but they're not worn or boring. i don't know, some people don't like this new album because it's too different from decomposer but i could rave about it for hours, i am entranced with it.
there's not much else i can think to say! i deeply loveloveloveee the matches.
oh, and - i guess i will ramble about my matches encounters in another post because it's late and i'm tired and i doubt anyone will have read this anyway. |

but anyway.
I love the matches. so much. I saw them at warped this past summer, and was front row centre. got some really kickass pictures. during audio blood, shawn was literally on top of me. twice. and then he fell, rofl.
my friend and I met them later on. they were all really nice, jon the nicest though. he talked a lot to my friend and I and was hilarious.
& I'm not too sure if I dig their new CD or not yet. I'm hoping it'll grow on me more.
edit: here's some pictures from their set, and from meeting them.
out of all 4 pictures with the band, this is the only one I like.

haha, those are probably just a few of my clear ones. a lot of them were bad since I zoomed too much. x]
the crowd was really, really mild compared to what I've been in. I expected it to be a lot harsher. but, they were one of the first bands to play, so it could have been that there weren't a lot of people.
it got pretty pushy when shawn jumped in though. ahaha. everyone wanted to touch him.
they were really amazing though. shawn made us slow dance with the person next to us [or tried to], and he made us do lots of pelvic thrusts during papercut skin. their set was pretty short though, which was disappointing. I think they only played like, five or six songs.
