Even I, a Chelsea fan, don't want that to happen. No player is worth the £80 million that's being suggested and I'd be much happier seeing Ben Haim go ahead of any new signings. |

That Kaká rumour seems to have died a nice painful death and hopefully it'll stay that way. XD But I say that with baited breath and crossed fingers...

In other news, today I would like to strangle Karel Bruckner. "Retires" from managing the Czechs and then jumps ship to Austria! A*hole. He could have stuck with us til the World Cup...we love him...we'll miss him...it's all such a tragedy.
Yes, I'm dramatic.

Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 7134 | July 31st, 2008 at 12:30pm I'm well excited for the start of the season.
Hopefully we'll have a better season than last. I can't stand that kind of stress again.
Yess, I'm a Fulham fan. We've got Andy Johnson. Glad about that, not keen on the amount we payed for him. Fulham are known for over paying for average players tbh.
11.5mil for Steve Marlet..no ones even heard of him.
&& 6mil for Kamara..Did well nearing the end of the season. But not worth 6k.
Renewed my season ticket (:
My Dad's going to Hull on the first day. Damn, if I was here I'd go. |

Still apart from a confirmed bid for Robinho and Benitez buying more strikers when he desperately needs wingers, there's little to get excited about.
What happened to the days when transfers just happened. There's not been one notable transfer this period that's just been announced without all the hype. |

Friedel was getting old anyway.
and we've got Danny Simpson on loan and from what I saw of him in a pre-season game he was flipping good.
Carlos Villanueva looks very good and is gonna get his first game tomorrow.
I think this season is an extended season.
*dances*
Blackburn are 3rd in the league.

Age: 33 Gender: Male Posts: 303 | August 31st, 2008 at 08:50pm Bullard's in the england squad!
Always thought he had it in him, never thought he'd get called up unless he moved to somewhere like Spurs or Newcastle though. Hope he plays.
For a while I've been thinking that the solution to the Gerrard/Lampard situation is to drop both of them. Lampard's probably never going to get his form back for england, the idiot fans will boo him every time and Gerrard for me is too big, too good almost, if he's not the centre of everything he's just not enough. Which is fine in liverpool's midfield but the international team doesn't have enough time together to build play around him because he does too much, sometimes he should stop trying to do everything and be a centre mid.
Same for Rooney. Once upon a time he was a forward that occaisonally dropped deep, now he's everywhere and only occaisonally up front. |
