I looked and didn't see a topic started for this show yet.
This will only be my 2nd time in Columbus. Does anybody know how the venue is and know the area in which the venue is located? Also, how good is public transportation? My friend and I will be fly into Columbus the day of the show and are curious about getting to and from the show.
I'm so freakin' excited and I know the next two months are going to dragggg! |

i think that the LC Pavilion is around the area where the Nationwide Arena is, so it would be in downtown Columbus |

I was hoping it would be in the center of town so that if we have to take public transportation it will be easy to get to.
And I know more people have to be going to this show! But then again I'll take just the 4 (that includes you) that I know are going. I don't mind a MCR show for 4. |

Where are you flying in at? Maybe I could try to get you a ride to the venue... but unfortunately it's my parents, so they'll want gas money... but it still works.
Team Garry XD (I had to laugh at that..best thing ever).
ADD moment...
Anyway, I'm attending the show with Katie, Amy (and her 2 friends from FL), Cassie, and a few others. It'll be a blast, guys. I promise! |

Thanks for the info and offer of a ride. LOL I think I am one of the friends from FL. I called the venue today and asked them about public transportation, how close they were to the airport, and hotels in the area. I think my friend and I are just going to get a rental car and drive in from St. Louis. All the hotels in the area are a bit pricey though.

The pictures make it seem like it's inside, but the site says it's an outdoor venue... |

Age: 39 Gender: Female Posts: 574 | April 17th, 2008 at 10:27pm So has anyone been to this venue? If I went, would I actually be able to see? Because I went to Projekt Rev, and although I had a great time, I could barely make out their forms on the effing screen, let alone in real life. |

Seeing as I live in Florida I have never seen the place but I think it only holds any where from 2500 to 5000 people verses the venues the played in PR held like 15,000 to 20,000 people. So I think you will probably be able to see them pretty good. Here is the website of the venue: Community Pavillion
I know that doesn't say much but you can always call the venue and asked questions. I called awhile back and they were super helpful. |

Age: 39 Gender: Female Posts: 574 | April 18th, 2008 at 01:38am Yeah, I already saw their site, and you're right--not much there. But your information I found helpful--only 5,000 people, as opposed to 20,000? I like my odds of a decent spot better now. I bought a ticket for the Cleveland show, not knowing that there was going to be a Columbus one (which is 2 hours closer to me). It's a damned shame that the Cleveland show is so far away, because that venue only seats 1,800 people.
But anyway, I've got a question--does the band ever meet with the fans anymore? Like, if I showed up three or four hours early, would there be a chance to have a meet and greet? That would probably make it the greatest day of my life. |
