Just dates + venues:

FEBRUARY/MARCH 2010

SATURDAY 20 BRISBANE, RNA SHOWGROUNDS
SUNDAY 21 SYDNEY, EASTERN CREEK RACEWAY
FRIDAY 26 MELBOURNE, SHOWGROUNDS
SATURDAY 27 ADELAIDE, BONYTHON PARK
MONDAY 1 PERTH, STEEL BLUE OVAL

I'm stoked that it's at Eastern Creek again this year. It's muddy, but SO close to my house (:

and the website just says "information on early bird tickets for Soundwave 2010 will be released shortly". :/

yay! Eastern Creek is so much easier for me to get to as well lol
and i won't make the mistake of wearing gumboots next year, no matter how cute they are xD

i'm guessing if you just sign up for the newsletter you'll find out about ticketing and everything as it's released,
but it probs won't be for a while yet, i'm thinking around september/october they'll go on sale?

i wanna see craig owens as well but its the day after spring carnival so i would be too busy recovering from that lol..

to me soundwave 2010 is like the normal soundwave with a dash of the US Warped tour vibe to it, which i think is awesome since we dont really have anything like it over here

tbh i like Soundwave a whole lot better than Warped.
idk why, it just doesn't really appeal to me for some reason.

anyway, ticketing info for Soundwave was posted on twitter earlier:
SW 2010 Early Bird tickets on sale next week (Wed Bris, Thu Syd, Fri Mel, Sat Adel & Perth). $121 + BF. Full details will be on website soon

$121 seems pretty reasonable to me, given the amount of 'big names' playing.
i'm pretty sure the tickets to Jane's Addiction sideshows when they were meant to be here for Splendour were around $80, so it's pretty good value tbh.

idk if anybody would be interested, but Meredith got announced yesterday, and it is pretty much awesome:
Animal Collective, Jarvis Cocker, Thee Oh Sees, Akron/Family, Bag Raiders, Kitty Daisy & Lewis, Sia, Why?, Crocodiles, Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Patrick Wolf , Tim Sweeney, Heavy Trash, Paul Kelly, Combo La Revelacion, Kid Sam, Pharoahe Monch, Royal Crown Revue, Henrik Schwarz, The Middle East, Tumbleweed, Yacht Club DJ's, Ballarat Municipal Brass Band, Silence Wedge

i'm crying on the inside because i can't go.

time flies, and with a blink of the eye, we're once again looking forward to seeing MCR live. All I can envisage is me being crushed in that moshpit at Soundwave 2010 and going crazy. There's really no other bands that I'd be reckless in a moshpit for nowadays except for MCR, so I'm looking forward to experiencing one of the best moments I could have in a whole year.

any chances for MCR sideshows I wonder?

as for the rest of the lineup...sure sounds good with big names but ughhh...

does anybody know if more ticketing info has been released? like, the links to buy them and whatnot?
i signed up for the mailing list, but i thought something would have been sent by now seeing as they're on sale in a day or two :/

re:MCR, tbh, i hope to be as far away as possible from them when they play.
buuut looking at the lineup, i'm kind of expecting them to be closing one of the main stages, in between Jane's Addiction and Faith No More on the other main stage D:

The days that tickets are being done for each state have been announced but other than that I don't know anything more. That's just on the website. I'm sure they'll announce something... hopefully... that would be nice...

isn't it ironic to hear that when you're posting on a MCR fansite?

It's delicious.

I have decided not to go to Soundwave. There aren't a lot of acts that I desperately want to see.
Sidewaves involving The Weakerthans and The Get Up Kids, please.

Plus I will be attending Meredith. Need money for that.

I'm expecting MCR and Trivium to be playing at the exact same time, it which point I will personally hunt down AJ and stab him repeatedly between the eyes with a rusty plastic spork.

Just sayin.
