Ok, I really wanna hear your opinions on this one.
At my work, our managers are not to have any form of a relationship with employees (whether its platonic or a bf/gf relationship). One of my managers is one of my closest friends, and I have been friends with him since before he became a manager. He has been getting into trouble for hanging out with me (and hanging out with other people) because he is a manager and I'm an employee. He was recently threatened that he would be fired if we continued to hang out. I really don't think this is fair, especially since we were friends before he was made a manager.

So, I just wanna know what you think bout it.
Do you think a manager/employee relationship is ok?
Do you think it has any negative/positive impacts?
Have you ever been in this situation before?

Yeah, it'd be great to see what you think Razz

It's okay as long as it's not affecting the actual work of the company. If it's affecting
productivity, you can see where the negative view is coming from, but apart from that, it's
basically prying into someone's life and telling them what they can/cannot do in their
private life.

I think that as long as it doesnt get in the way of your jiob. why shouold theey give a fucck about weather you hang ou t w/him.

ive never been in this sitution b4.

I think it wont have any negative impacts, as long as you dont hang out constantly on the job.

just got home from a work meeting...
they have a new rule.
so, ig i hang out with my bestie, him and i both get fired on the spot, no warnings or anything.

i honestly dont think this is fair. im calling up the workers union tomorrow to see what they have to say.

but back to the general part.
yer, as long as it doesnt interfere with work, i think it should be ok.

well, I think that when people go home they should seperate it from work. So I can hang with whoever I want to when I'm off duty. It's totally wrong to get someone in trouble only becasue you don't agree with their personal lives!
