I am so sorry guys, I really respect all kinds of arts.
Especially the art of people on INO.
And I know drawind 'nudes' is a high quality art that requires some kind of science and a high sense, BUT...
Here are some explaining reasons:
1] There are way too many children on this website. I know a lot under the age of 10!  . Exposing them to such things is dangerous, and my responsibility as I am who started this thread.
2] Even if we do such a filter like in DeviantARt, it woun't work.
I have an account there, but honestly?
Whenever I saw that mature content filter I would open the link anyway. I wasn't mature enough to realise I wasn't supposed to.
3] No one would wish to open a thread and see naked people in from of his/her eyes.
4] If this isn't enough. We have lots of both Muslim and Christians here, also many Jews. I am a very religious person, and such an exposure to naked people is highly prohibited.
Well, so we have to move our art down to the level of children, so that the children can use the site? It's not a kids' site. technically, you're not supposed to be here if you're under thirteen, aren't you?
Well, if we say "NAKED PEOPLE", as a religious person, you can avoid it. if you click on it even though you know what's under it, that's your fault. INO is not particularly censored, and people choose to come here, knowing what it's like, and so they get whatever's on here.
and like, it isn't prohibited by INO's rules, as long as it's not porn, and so there's allowed to be a thread, so would we just have to make another thread without such restrictions? None of the others have that, and it seems rather redundant to have to make another thread simply for nudes.
plus, depending on the nude, I'd love to see it upon opening a page. people's bodies can be really gorgeous, and I love the way the muscles and bones and all show with movement, and how people curve and are laid out. sure, I don't like genitals really, but naked people =/= genitals.
I'm sorry I'm being so aggressive, I just have a hard time with that kind of censorship rule on this one thread. |

No, you make total sense.
I thougth of it even before opening the thread.
I am almost 15, but you know this site isn't officially for children, but reality speaks up.
There are tons of children round here.
You can't argue that fact, many Mychem fans are children.
IF it is not a porn, then it is allowed.
But nothing should show, you know what I exactly mean!
As for the last lines.. That's your opinion, buddy!
Still, it's the official Drawings thread now, the Artists thread has been removed. That's why it should be general, and suit everyone.
At least I think it should.
When I said naked people I mean completely naked  .
BUT If anything goes beyond just nudes, then I shall be pleased to report it, because as you said, it would be against INO rules.

Please ignore that blurry spot (: it was some words that I don't think really fit with the picture anymore. And the person is colored with color pencils.

An admin was here, and she didn't say much about the rules.
I had to change them acourding to the members' needs.
If the Admins don't like 'em, they can change 'em.
But honestly? I was really being too strict about this whole rules thing.

People, before we put nudes I'll ask a mod or admin. Till then, nudes are not allowed.

I think not allowing nudes is just so... 19th century. There is nothing pornographic about nudes, it's art. I personally think human body is one of the most beautiful things to draw.
I won't post my nudes, though, but I just find this whole thing about not allowing artistic nudity so pointless. (not just here, though) |
