Age: 32 Gender: Female Posts: 11966 | February 19th, 2009 at 04:16pm Uh, I don't really know because my Mom won't let me use oil paint in the house (I'm accident prone and it takes ages to dry).
Try going to your local art store and talking to someone there. I find that when I'm stuck on materials, a chat with my local always seems to help. x] |

Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 952 | February 19th, 2009 at 05:40pm For my studio mid-term I had to do a landscape painting, and I used another painting as a reference
I put my own mix to it though so I was only copying it to an extent. (I totally redid the whole sky)
By the way it looks a million times better in real life.

Thanks so much! Actually it's supposed to be "the formation of Earth" or something like that haha. It's up to your own interpretation...worked so hard on it though.

And now, my own, first contribution
A 1900's french can can dancer that I painted yesterday for my art class.
My scanner is the scanner from hell, and the red lining her dress is supposed to be a lot darker than the way it came out.

Just finished this a couple of days ago.
I'm thinking of changing the colors of the flying umbrellas around. Especially the orange one in the front. Opinions? |

Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 952 | April 7th, 2009 at 06:11pm Hmm well if I make it more bold, darker perhaps, it might not fit in with the rest of the painting, you know?
I actually don't like it orange at all, it was supposed to be gold x] |
