i envy your color/shading skills. the light in the second one is especially awesome. i love the color of her arms.
and i like the folds in the girl's tank. i can never make that look natural...

mae, i like the rose off to the side of your painting (assuming it's a rose), and the tooth looks like it's just been pulled out.

Your Lloyd Dobbler:
ATTACK: Very nice shoes. I wish I have that talent. (: How long time does it take to paint a pair of shoes, like the first pair you showed us?

I know this is a really really late reply and I doubt you'll ever read this, but if I sit my ass down and force myself to only have interest in painting I can do a pair in anywhere from 1-3 hours... but I rarely do that. -distracted easily-

Anywho.... anybody that's interested, I did some new stuffs. : D

For my friend's b-day... he only gave me the shoes, no laces. O_o

Sorry if that's too big... these were painted for my little sister. :]]

I told myself I wasn't going to paint on my new yellow chucks... but I get so damned bored. D:

And yeahh... Very Happy

PM them on on their myspace with the picture(s)/link(s) to your art. The web guy will PM you back and tell you waht he thinks / if he wants it up.
Wait a little bit and they'll add it to their collection.

I'd love to see a closer view of it without the reflection, but from what I can tell, it looks very nice. can't tell how much detail it's got, though. and some of the windows (& I think doors, too, actually) seem slanted a bit strangely, but I think I'd have to get a better view to tell if that's actually distortion or just the way I'm seeing it here.
were you painting from a photo?
I like the composition, and the way the verticals and horizontals seem nicely balanced.
can't tell if the boatman is really as flat as he looks to me, but he seems pretty flat the way I see him.

btw, I can't actually paint, so yeah.
I've been taking art history this year though, so I've been looking a lot at paintings, and I draw some and do design stuff so I've got things about composition and whatnot from this.

The Joker. Wow. That is just amazing. The colours are so bold, they work really well.
I'm in awe of your talent. I bet you got a very high grade for that (:

I'm gonna post my GCSE piece here, once I get it back. I'm pretty
nervous about my result, I honestly don't know what I'm going to get.
