not so pretty. (: How long time does it take to paint a pair of shoes, like the first pair you showed us? I know this is a really really late reply and I doubt you'll ever read this, but if I sit my ass down and force myself to only have interest in painting I can do a pair in anywhere from 1-3 hours... but I rarely do that. -distracted easily- Anywho.... anybody that's interested, I did some new stuffs. : D For my friend's b-day... he only gave me the shoes, no laces. O_o Sorry if that's too big... these were painted for my little sister. :]] I told myself I wasn't going to paint on my new yellow chucks... but I get so damned bored. D: And yeahh...

Crash Queen Age: 38 Gender: Male Posts: 31690	May 29th, 2009 at 08:53pm EeVie !: I'd love to see a closer view of it without the reflection, but from what I can tell, it looks very nice. can't tell how much detail it's got, though. and some of the windows (& I think doors, too, actually) seem slanted a bit strangely, but I think I'd have to get a better view to tell if that's actually distortion or just the way I'm seeing it here. were you painting from a photo? I like the composition, and the way the verticals and horizontals seem nicely balanced. can't tell if the boatman is really as flat as he looks to me, but he seems pretty flat the way I see him. btw, I can't actually paint, so yeah. I've been taking art history this year though, so I've been looking a lot at paintings, and I draw some and do design stuff so I've got things about composition and whatnot from this.
