i'll.be.fine Killjoy Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 33 | Burning Silence- (my first haiku in a while) You still say nothing. So many months have gone by. The silence remains. You walk past blindly, As if I never was there. Your killing me now. But now I'll get up. Hide the wave of agony; Pretend its okay. |
i'll.be.fine Killjoy Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 33 | Together- Some say I need a reason for this pain, But can't you see I'm going insane? You say my life is just fine, Really look and you'll find its not so divine. These tears tonight are my plea, Don't make me wake up, please help me. This weight on me now, Tell me how you can breath, tell me how. You hate how I act, how i dress, how I talk too, But I'm my own person at least, unlike you. You just have to take some time and you'll see, We have things in common, you're not so different from me. We could help eachother through these days, Hold each other despite these dark ways. So come and take my hand, And maybe someday our lives, we will understand. |

i'll.be.fine Killjoy Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 33 | -We all And we’re all fading, Dying slowly. No matter what was before or then. These heroes fall, The broken giving up so slowly. That sense of security, The one sure thing we held onto. Is gone for now, And has not annouced the time of its return. We’re fading, slipping out of reality. This world of sorrow becomes our home. The one reassurance in this tradegy, We are not alone. We’re all fading, Dying slowly. Praying for something to save us all. |

i'll.be.fine Killjoy Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 33 | -The Prayer of the Lonely- Now I lay me down to sleep, And yet all I can do is weep. I lay here in this bed awake, I pray the lord my life to take. Laying amongst these sweet black roses, Be careful little ones where you stick your noses. This life isn’t all it seems, Give in easy, let go of your dreams. Hush now darling don’t say a word, Don’t look like that, silence isn’t so absurd. So here I lay in this grave tonight, For there was never anyone to hold me tight. From this sleep I will never wake, Although it was mine own life I did take. |

i'll.be.fine Killjoy Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 33 | -Making it Right As I lay here tonight, I'm holding on to you so tight. Clinging to this peace inside, But this time it's me that lied. You are my new alchohol, You gladly catch me when I fall. I can see the love in your eyes, So the discontent in mine I'll disguise. But like any other drug, I come down from the high and just need a hug. So the cycle repeats itself over again, Maybe what I needed was just a friend. Is it too late to make this right, I don't want to hurt you, I don't want to fight. So tonight I will lay here alone, I'll learn to make it on my own. |
Jenny. Moderator Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 19720 | I'm not normally one for poetry - in fact, normally I despise it. But I have to say - this is honestly amazing! I love it! It's so heartfelt, flowing and easy to read.... You're getting my vote for poet. XD |

i'll.be.fine Killjoy Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 33 | -Instructions for temporary relief- Light a match, Hold it close, Breathe in deep, Exhale the smoke. Now close your eyes, And let your mind take over. Find a bottle, Take off the lid, Tilt it back, Drink as much as you can. Enjoy forgetting for a while, Then pass out on the floor. Meet someone "special" Get to know them well. Go home with them, Give them your heart, Have it broken once again, Now repeat. Go to the bathroom, Lock the door. Take out a razor, Close your eyes, Draw the blade across your skin. Let the tears come now and finally feel again. |
Your Ghost. Thinking Happy Thoughts Age: 28 Gender: Female Posts: 440 | I really like that onee!! especially "let the tears come now and finally feel again" Fantastic! |
it's all happening Salute You in Your Grave Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 2038 | I've read all your poems and this sticks out the most-- "So look at me, bottle in hand, A sight so sinful the holy cannot stand." Beautiful! Normally, I don't like rhyming poetry, but you make it work. The Prayer of the Lonely was my second fave, although the rhyme scheme was a tad awkward at times. Keep it up! |
i'll.be.fine Killjoy Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 33 | -Hello and Goodbye my Friend Oh hello my dear friend, (Do you know it's almost the end) Tradgedy is just around the next bend. And how are you this fine day? (Please cooperate, we're doing this my way) No matter what you choose you will pay. The weather is storming inside and out, (Don't you dare ask me what this is about) Just continue sitting there your face in a pout. You say your happy and fine, (Of course, for soon you will be mine) But do what you want, snort another line. Why can't you see love is all you need, (Instead your full of lust and greed) Lighten up try smoking a little weed. And now you walk right out my door, (Your lucky, now go live a little more) Sometimes life can be a bore. Goodbye my dear friend, (Do you realize this is the end) Tradgedy is here, no longer around the bend. |
