That was like, the most intense tennis match ever.
When they were getting all extra with the little hits and shit.
I fail at explaining.

ok so pretty much this is like the best thread ever. i know i'm pretty late on that but whatevuh.
I'M SO PISSED FEDERER LOST EVEN THOUGH I WAS OUT AND COULN'T WATCH THE MATCH.
but yes. federer is going to make a comeback, i know it. and when he does i'll be like <3
but nadal deserves it. federer just kept making error after error from what i saw of the match.
i mean, he had several break points andd didn't take the opportunity to win them.
and when he did break nadal in the second set, he just got lazy and let nadal catch up to him.
anyways, i'm done. though i still love federer so much. <3333333333333333
and nadal is really cute.

edit: i was really surprised djokovic, who is one of my favorite tennis players, got eliminated so early.
especially by safin o_o that guy had serious temper problems in that match against federer.

Shit! I can't believe he LOST! Nadal is is great, but Federer could've beaten him.

- It was, though, one of the most awesome tennis matches ever. Talk about intense...

okay, so I'm new to the thread, but I am a huge tennis fan,
and its great to see other people on here who do too.
the match yesterday was unbelievable, and personally, I am so
ecstatic that rafael nadal won. I always enjoy seeing him play.
of course, andy roddick is my other favorite player, but he got out really early on.

does anyone here actually play tennis? I have for seven years, and I love it.
most people don't see me as the kind of person to play it, but I do.
I also go to the pacific life open every year in palm springs, and its so much fun.

well, the most important thing is finding a coach who really works for you.
having a coach just to have one isn't good; you should really get along with him/her.
If you go to a sports supply store, you can just tell them your situation (that you're a beginner)
and they'll be able to find you the right racket and size.
and then its up to your coach to really bring you into playing.

I went to a summer camp thing that the school's coach puts on. That's really where I learned the bulk of what I know.

a camp that i went to that's really good is a nike tennis camp. they have beginning, intermediate, and advanced/tournament levels, so there's room for everyone. the only downside is that it's only for four days, and if you're staying the in the dorms, it's pretty expensive, but i like how they focus on not only strokes but also match play and mental toughness.
