dear god:
Sad, but beautiful at the same time.
I find myself repeating this sometimes, but I really enjoyed the flow and emotion of this work.

Excellent, as usual. Very relatable (at least for me). Smiley

Politicians are devils in disguise

This world is f**ked up and love is made of lies,
a notion created to blind our eyes.
Respect and virtue do not exist,
vanished completely in the mist.

We search desperately for something that keeps us sane,
but life always manages to cause us pain.
With politicions feeding us lie after lie
can you see now why I want to die?

Chaos and corruption will always be a part of this universe,
bow ur head now because justice has died and is leaving in its hearse.

I'm told we are all gods kids,
but how can that be when girls are sold into sex trades for the highest bids?

If god really is our dad then why do we suffer so much agony?
No parent would actually want to see their children unhappy.
And yet god does nothing to ease our pain,
satan is in charge now, god will never be seen again.

The world has gone to hell what can I say,
there will still be corruption and evil around on my dying day.

INSPIRATION
The inspiration for this poem came from when i waas talking to my friend about how the english government are making too many severe spending cuts and they are affecting people like me but the goverment would happily bail out another bank with taxpayers money if the bank was going bust. He called them greedy and then later that day i wrote this poem on my phone. I dont vote btw i think all politicians promise 1 thing before being elected and do the exact opposite once they are in power

Politicians Are Devils In Disguise:

Wow, I truly enjoyed this poem.
Could definitely feel the "force" behind it, if that makes sense.

Chaos and corruption will always be a part of this universe,
bow ur head now because justice has died and is leaving in its hearse.

Loved the imagery of this couplet, the way you wrote this was creatively intriguing.
Excellent work as usual. Smiley

aww thanks MyChemicalBlack

the truth is when i was sorting it out to type it up onto here i realised there was bits missing and to make this poem flow like a 'regular' poem of mine i would have to create extra lines but i decided the lines that are not in a rhyming couplet pack more punch on there own. plus i was being lazy as well my brain had shut down by that point

Chaos and corruption will always be a part of this universe,
bow ur head now because justice has died and is leaving in its hearse.

as soon as i created that couplet i thought of you and thought yep MyChemicalBlack will like that Smile

who am i?

i am the wind and the rain,
the hurt and the sorrow,
i am the hope and the gain,
the promise of tomorrow

i am the maiden with the ripped up heart,
the matyr that never got my start
i am the tears of angiush the tears of pain
and the hope that will be restored again

to my friends i am the fire that keeps you warm
i am the safe port in the storm
i am the good times that make you smile
i am the comfort when life puts you on trial

to myself i am the demon that wages wars in my head
the fool that never thinks about whats just been said
but im also my only true best friend
the one i could trust not to send me to a bitter end

im the party girl that lives half in the shadows half in the light
i am the whispering breeze on a warm spring night
i am the tortured soul that screams for mercy
begging someone to save me.

i am the joy and the pain, the truth and the lie
all opposites in the world that is i

inspiration: its an autobiographical peice that describes me

who am i?:
Wow...definitely felt the emotion in certain parts of this poem.
Loved the flow as well (I'm a sucker for the rhyming stanzas). ^_^

to myself i am the demon that wages wars in my head
the fool that never thinks about whats just been said

AND

i am the joy and the pain, the truth and the lie
all opposites in the world that is i

These two sections really got me. Excellent work. Smiley

carve out this treacherous heart of mine
for it has done to me over time
a thousand ills and caused so much pain
its gave me so much loss for so little gain

if only i could tear it out of me
cast it aside so then the animal could be free
but to give it to the trash man id have to get it back
my hearts not mine its walking on a different track

i hope where ever my heart is it is there to to stay
and that the owner of my heart doesnt casually throw it away
i hope that when it returns its not cracked and bent
or my past actions i may repent

This is my new path. And yes walk with me my friend but understand that you are the vines that are tripping me up and making me fall, trapping me till i cant stand at all.

A friend is what i need maybe that could be you? But as we walk understand you'll always remind me of what i put you through.

On my face are drops of acid rain, caused by your tears of anguish and pain.

Yes walk with me but remember that you have to help by setting me free.

In a way you are clipping my wings, by holding on to certain things.

Dead and buried thats how that chapter should stay, if thats not possible dont walk with me this way.

written as a facebook status to hint to a friend that he can help me rebuild my life but he has to let go of is emotional attachment to me ( he still loves me like a gf and i dont love him that way)

"my hearts not mine its walking on a different track." AND
"A friend is what i need maybe that could be you? But as we walk understand you'll always remind me of what i put you through."

Always a fan of powerful lines such as these. Smiley
Love the regular stanza layout of the first poem and the "status" note vibe of the second.

Nice work. Smile

Letter to my Loved one

Peace surronds me like an illuminous glow
how it came to be this way i'll never quite know
I like to think its because of you
and all the little things you do

I love you with all my breath
and will love you always til death
Thank you for being by my side
and helping me to fight when i wanna run and hide

Every time you say you're so glad you know me
or when you say im smart, beautiful and funny
i suddenly begin to glow
and its all coz of you, you know.

the pain i used to feel
no longer seems real
wiped away by loves hand
forgotten now in a dreamland.

I look back on our past and grin
too many things to smile about, where to begin?
I hope i never lose your warm embrace
and never forget the sight of your face

You are beautiful too
at least thats how i see you
So that is why i wrote this poetry
and if its too gushy oh well sue me

inspiration: my boyfriend because i love him and he has helped me heal my demons

Letter to my Loved One:
Not sure if it was intended, but I felt a serene sense of calm while reading this poem--which, in any work, is a plus if you can make a reader feel what they're reading.

Excellent work, as always. Smiley

Mind blank

I want to write a masterpiece
But the words seem to escape me
What to write about what to say
I'm sure I'll figure it out along the way.

Sometimes when my brain starts to freeze
I start a poem and the words reach me
Before I know it I've written a work of art
And it's all from the heart

I could write about sorrow but I'm not in that place
I could write about having no smile on my face
But to be honest I don't feel sorrow or pain
I just feel happy and normal again.

I suppose I could say to you all
Do not be afraid if you fall
Stand tall be proud and give peace and love
Never take for granted your life, its a gift from above.

Treat your fellow man with respect and generosity.
With your time love and money give freely.
Never a selfish word or a malicious deed
Stop you from helping someone be freed.

Think back to a time when you needed a friend
When you felt like your life had to end.
And remember how it felt when no help came to you
Make sure that is something you never do.

Offer a helping hand and a warm smile
Always try to go the extra mile.
Try to be an angel in disguise
And watch the world change before your eyes.

Merry Xmas to all and to all a goodnight.

Yaay I wrote about something!
