Without the passion, dedication and pure effort he puts into everything he does, without the inspiration he gives me, I'd probably just be some cynical little brat who thought she knew everything and wouldn't bother with anything. They were my first favorite band, and they practiclly introduced me to music. By listening to them, their music, their lyrics, their own personalities, they taught me that you should just be who you are and don't give a fuck about what people think of you. Because you're the one living your life, not anyone else. My parents. I might not always show it, but they mean the world to me.

In The Murder Scene Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 22515	April 8th, 2009 at 04:57pm bert mccracken from the used. i love him. a singer, a writer, an inspiration, a hero. my hero. bert is an amazing person. it feels like forever since i first heard about him back in 2002 the used released their first album. i was in junior high back then and he was only 20. god, he caught my eyes from that very second he's such an inspiration to me and his voice is love. even though he probably don't even know who i am, it doesn't matter. because i know who he is and that's enough for me. he's made such an enormous impact on my life, probably without even knowing it. there were days where lying in bed seemed like the only option, but whenever i thought about him, a picture of him, his voice, just about him, everything was different. and that's what i love about bert; he's different, he's not like everyone else. thank you, bert, for being the wonderful and amazing person that you are. for being the influence you strongly cause on me every fucking day. he’s been through so much, all from homelessness to drug addiction. still, he managed to pull it through. something he has always done. and i'm forever grateful for that. for making me do the same thing. you’re an amazing vocalist and singer, and i remember when i saw him and the used live for the first time on june 27th last summer. it was the most amazing experience i've ever been a part of and it will never be forgotten. when bert came onstage, he actually looked at me smiling, while giving me two thumbs up as he noticed i had this heart-shaped balloon that said "I <3 The Used". also, he's overcome so much in his life, dealing with expulsion from his own family at the age of 15, his alcoholism and drug abuse before he even was 20 and the loss of his ex-girl friend and their unborn child when she was 8 months pregnant. i could go on for years talking about bert and telling you what an amazing person he is. wow, i truly, truly love him, from the bottom of my heart. i look up to him and you want to know why? because he's lived through shit that i’m feeling. i see bert mccracken and i see a hero. my hero.
