if this isn't major enough for it's own topic, feel free to do your worst mods Wink

so the batman comic that Mikey wrote is going to be published in "DC UNIVERSE: HALLOWEEN '08".
the blurb on DC's site goes "The Horror! The Horror! Could this be the final Halloween for the DCU? Evil has won, and there are no treats! Witness tales of terror featuring Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Titans, El Diablo, Faust and others by past, present and future DC greats."

it'll cost $5.99 US and it's going to be released October 22, 2008, and October 23 in the UK.
no Australia dates, alas.

I'll only get it in December though, because I ordered TUA with it and they're shipped together.

You say so?
Because I searched for it on different sites and I couldn't find it.
And since you say you know, you could just have linked me, right?

And the TUA issues can be pretty hard to find here
so no, they're not in all the comic book stores in the world.

So sorry. We go through this any time any new comic is released so it is getting redundant to repost every time. However, you can try:
Things From Another World
Forbidden Planet (this also has a store in the UK)
The amazon.com for your country
Acme Superstore-- they are local to me but will ship elsewhere.
Finally, The Comic Shop Locator Service can help you find comic shops near you.

I realize now that I did speak in error and I apologize; TUA is not available everywhere because it's published by Dark Horse and therefore only readily available in the US, Canada, and parts of the UK. DC Comics, the publisher of the issue that you are looking for, however, is a *worldwide* publisher that distributes around the world, often translated into many different languages.

I've also been known to, if asked, purchase and ship comics to people on the board at cost, TUA or otherwise.

Thank you.
I will try the ones I have not tried.

I was hoping for it to be in stock at TFAW so that I could
pre-order it and TUA at the same time Sad

So are you not wanting the one I bought for you? (before I knew I'd get one as a freebie in my care package from "dad" )

I do have to agree with Mikey -- Frank Miller's penned wonders with Batman, I personally prefer the darker, angrier Batman because he's *not* a superhero, he's a rich guy with chip on his shoulder. He's fueled by his anger, yet still maintains his morals -- oftentimes the only thing that separates him from his enemies. Miller started it with Batman: Year One in the late 80s, this isn't a recent thing for him. Plus, Frank's a doll, a very interesting person. I can't wait to see him stretch his director legs here soon with The Spirit! (sorry for spam)

I texted you Smile Yes, I agree as well; always prefer the darker, more troubled characters to the da da da dum superhero types. Gonna try and read it at Midtown either at lunchtime or after work, if they have any left.
