First off, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place/not nessesary, but after searching very thourouly on Google, I really needed this as a place to improve my graphics.
This is basically a place to share anything you to color your graphics.
This is NOT a place for .psd files, but actual actions you take whilst making the graphics.
Please tell us which program you use to do the effects, and whether or not it would be able to be used in other programs.
When submitting an effect, please use the form below--
Program:
Translateable?:
User:
Technique:
You can also post a graphic/link to one, either asking what others think would be a good coloring effect to add, or posting one already colored, asking if anyone knows how to color it that particular way.

I'll add all the effects here to the first post so you don't have to scroll through any posts. ^_^

Program: GIMP 2.2
Translateable?: Yes
User: Holding.On.Tonight
Technique: 1- duplicate your image 4 times.
2- set your foreground/background to blue and gold, respectivly.
3- Make sure the top layer is selected.
4- Go to Colors>Gradient Map
5- Set the layer type to 'Hard light' and play with the opacity.
6- Repeat for: purple/orange, tan/brown, and black/white. [But do not set these to hard light, simply leave them normal and mess with the opacities as desired.]

err, I may be wrong, but I think this would probably go in the thread for the program you're using, and if it doesn't have a thread, you can make one for that.
but I'm not sure. :/ it's just that people are already doing this there.

edit: actually, here also.

It's like Ian said, we already have a few places for things like this.
