About three weeks ago, going on four, I started college at Nossi College of Art here in Tennessee. I’m going for my Bachelors in Photography and Video. I bought this morning a Nikon D5000. I know this is randomish. I just started learning about different cameras and I was wondering if anyone could help me on lenses. In the kit it came with a Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR AF-S DX. One of my teachers said that the lenses that come with the kit is pretty much crap. I’m tight on money and want to know if you guys think this is a pretty good lens that could last me a bit or should I go out and buy a new one. I’m not quit set yet on the specifics of what I want to take pictures of. I want to explore. :] I plan on taking my camera out tomorrow at sunrise to take pictures. It shall be a lot of fun. =D

At first I was like "whoaaa, a bit wonky" but it's cool 'cause now I realise the actual ground is sloped. Nature shots aren't really my thing, but I enjoy this. (:

I'm doing Fine Art A Level and there's a lot of portrait photography involved, and I'm also doing digital photography as my enrichment course at college so you might be seeing me around here rather a lot over the coming months! I took these about a year ago before they moved the wheel from LiverpoolONE to down by the Echo Arena.
