You could back it up a bit and maybe include one of your lights in the shot, if he studio look is what you're going for. That might be cool. |

I'm looking to buy a macro lens for my camera: I really do love taking photos of spiders, and using a normal lens means I have to wait for the big spiders to come along in order to get good photos...
But I have no idea where to start looking, and the technical numbers still confuse me D=
so any advice would be awesome.
Oh, and I have a Canon 450D (Rebel XSI in the states; they're the same camera) |

I'm really not familiar with Canons. Does anyone else know? I know we have a few Canon users in here. |

I absoluetly love this one. It differs from the "classic" angle of photo flowers, and I love the different colours.
it's really beautiful. |

Age: - Gender: - Posts: 8012 | March 23rd, 2009 at 06:00pm well, i'm saving up for a new dslr....
and i'm debating between the nikon d60 and the canon eos rebel xsi
i've always used nikon and that's what i'm leading towards more, they're much more user friendly so it seems, but i do like the displays on the canon more, much easier to read and more 'organized' as far as the main shooting screen goes...but that's just my opinion.
my photography teacher has 5 of the canons i described above and let's us borrow them, so i've had hands on experience much more with that camera over the nikon. but like i'd stated before i really think i'm gonna go with the nikon. and for equal prices i can get the canon with one lense or the d60 with two.
so....
anybody suggest one over the other/can compare the two in a bit more detail? |

Age: - Gender: - Posts: 9443 | March 23rd, 2009 at 08:19pm I have a D60 and I love it. It's a fantastic camera, but if I were to buy it now, I would've chosen the D40 instead. It's pretty much the same as the D60, the only major difference is the megapixles. The D60 is better if you're planning on doing huuuuge prints. But I would recommend the D40, for sure. It's a couple hundred dollars cheeper, and just as good.
I have like no knowledge on Canons, so I can't help you with that. Sorry. x] |
