I don't like the band but he looks good.
I find it hilar when he's strutting down the desert, though

Agreed, Gerard is looking good, his parts sound good but I'm not a fan of the band.

(Anyone else heard of them prior to this?)

^ I hadn't heard of them either.

Their singer sounds a bit like the singer from Dir en grey, I really like them!

Ditto. I feel like I'd like the song from MCR but I just don't like the band's style.

For a second I thought he was going to provide some WOAH-OH's and wondered why he was even in the vid, but then definately wasn't disappointed!

I really quite like this. Good driving song as well! hehe Hoping it won't just be limited to US itunes?

I'm a fan of final fantasy and I'm so glad that Gerard made a contribution to the movie.
Himuro's voice is quite familiar to me.. maybe because of the theme song of some anime movies that I've watched.
anyways, it's Great!

I love this song. Gerard's doing a great job. Himuro's pronunciation kinda annoys me, but I guess I shouldn't complain because I probably couldn't do it better myself.

I thought I heard about this a while ago, but obviously didn't get all the details because I thought all Gerard would be singing was the "Whoa-oh's." When I first saw the video I thought "Wow, all he sings is whoa and he gets his own mic?" You can imagine I was very happy to hear some full sentences coming out of his mouth!
I'm already hooked on the song. I think Gerard sounds increadible and for a Japanese singing English, Kyosuke sounds great. I'd never heard of him before. I heard that the back-up band in the video are each members from other bands, does anyone know if that's true?
And speaking of the video, I personally think the desert scene where it suddenly rains is kinda cheesy, but still good. Gerard looks great! Walking down the middle of the desert all in black is such a Gerard thing to do.

though the whole video, i thought he was michael jackson. :/ it freaked me out that gerard resembled him.
i like the song though and i thought he only did the ''whoa'', because i heard a preview of it a few days ago. i also thought the rain was kind of cheesy and funny, it was weird. XD

kyosuke himuro to me kinda sounds like a mix between ville valo and morrissey on vibrato...i love it, i'm addicted to it =]
it's definitely different [gerard's vocals] but it still is very...gerardy

THIS IS THE REAL REASON WHY HE HAD TO GET HIS CAR SO SOON. Tehe
[the car thing was probably his idea, so he could show it off XD]

I really love the song. And Gerard did a great job on the vocals.

I don't particularly like the other singer's voice, but I give him a lot of credit, considering English is obviously not his first language.

I surprised mself by enjoying this song. A little overly epic at moments for my personal liking, but yeah, it was actually quite good.

I personally like the song, and the video (no matter how horribly cliche it is)
The song was stuck in my head today, but I didn't mind.

....now that i think about it, what the hell does the video have to do with the song? O.o
listen to the lyrics and picture the video in your head, though they do mention a car once i think.
haha! whatever
i've listened to this song at least 15 times today...

here's the lyrics that someone came up with on yahoo and it sounds just about perfect. sorry it's so lengthy...

And all my hopes and dreams
Aren't for anyone
I keep them safe and sound

And hope this picture is
Not yours anymore
But can you hear me now?

Now that’s okay man
I’ll say it across this land,
You should’ve kissed me baby

So try and stop me
Or so forgive this light
Cuz I can’t beg all night

Until my heart stops beating
You’ll never hear me say
I won’t kiss you

If I say,
Its lost its beating
If I can’t find my way
It’s over now

***But I won't
***Walk away

Chorus:
Until the day
(Whoa, whoa)
I’m never backing down
(Whoa, whoa)
And hear me say
(Whoa, whoa)
I’ll keep it safe and sound
(Whoa, whoa)
I’ll keep it safe and…

This hopeless feeling
This fear of falling down
But I’m not crashing now

For all this bleeding
It wasn’t worth the sound
A million screaming out loud

And still
The earth comes reeling
The curtain calls my name
I’m not afraid

And I know
You may not miss me
But I am not ashamed
The choice I made

But I can’t
Let this go

Chorus:
Until the day
(Whoa, whoa)
I’m never backing down
(Whoa, whoa)
Just hear me say
(Whoa, whoa)
I’ll keep it safe and sound
(Whoa, whoa)
I’ll keep it safe and…

Bridge:
No dashing car
Or a dying star
That’s raced into the ground

Like the final words
Of the passengers
Will the angels give it all?

We’re the world
Watch us fall

End Chorus:
Until the day
(Whoa, whoa)
I’m never backing down
(Whoa, whoa)
Just hear me say
(Whoa, whoa)
I’ll keep it safe and sound
(Whoa, whoa)
Keep it safe and sound
(Whoa, whoa)
Keep it safe and sound
(Whoa, whoa)
Keep it safe and sound
(Whoa, whoa)
Keep it safe and sound
(Whoa, whoa)
Keep it safe and sound

[p.s] did gerard write the lyrics? it almost sounds like at times he's singing about goodbyes to eliza, how he after all is said and done he doesn't regret it and the chorus is about his new life with lindsey...of course that could just be me thinking

Though, did you all notice that they spelled Gerard's name wrong on the site? They spell it "Gerad." Tehe
