So I'm looking through my email and I got this from KROQ, the local rock station in LA...
"KROQ presents My Chemical Romance at The Roxy for a special performance. Win tickets this week on the Furious Five at 9pm!."
Does anyone know anything about this?!!!!
It's been a while since i last saw them... |

So like, is there a chance of there being a world tour pretty soon?
I'm hoping so!! (:
As long as they don't come to Ireland in June, I'm happy!
If they do... Ugh... |

Or, the second and more difficult option: Winning the tickets off of KROQ.
I wish you could just buy them. I guess that's why it's a more exclusive show. |

"We knew a lot of the LA fans weren't able to get into last night's show at The Roxy, so for tonight's show, Saturday the 1st, we're gonna let fans come in on a first come, first served basis. People who got their confirmations will get in first, but line up at 6 PM and we'll try and get you in!" |

The Lunacy Phringe Bleeding on the Floor
Age: 31 Gender: Male Posts: 1288 | August 1st, 2009 at 11:07pm Okay. Firstly, the Death Before Disco is terrible in almost every way possible.
Secondly, the setlist kinda pissed me off.
Sure, it's long, but it's full of shit. I'll be killed for saying this, but it's as if they're becoming a singles band.
Look, Desolation Row, Helena, I'm Not Okay, The Ghost Of You, Thank You for the Venom, Welcome to the Black Parade, Teenagers, I Don't Love You, Famous Last Words, Headfirst for Halos.
Almost half of the setlist is made up of singles and songs that made them famous.
They need to realise that they have more songs than just singles.
To The End hasn't been played since The Black Parade came along, (Correct me if I'm wrong) and that was a fan favourite at the time.
WTF ever happened to Vampires Will Never Hurt You? Remember on LOTMS when Gerard said it was important? Um, isn't that a reason to play it?
Our Lady Of Sorrows. Supposedly they wont play it because Bob hates it. Fuck that. He wasn't in the band when they wrote it, it's not up to him to decide. They play songs like this for the true fans, not for all the 13 year olds that only want to hear Teenagers, and it's not Bob's decision.
Gerard says they wont play Cubicles anymore because he hates it. They wrote the fucking song, they should play it.
Not even Stay or The World is Ugly were on this setlist, and they're "new songs". Hell, no B-sides either.
The only non-single song's they seem to nearly always play are Prison, Cemetery Drive, Give Em Hell Kid, Disappear, Sleep, Dead, Mama and House of Wolves.
Lately Headfirst for Halos is starting to come up again. And on the UK tour in November '07 they were playing Honey.
That's what they need more of.
They're really restricting themselves when it comes to their setlists.
They don't seem to realise that they do have other songs.
To The End, Deathwish, Hang 'Em High, Jetset, INTYWIDFAL, Vampires, Skylines and Turnstiles, This is the Best Day Ever.
How many of you would actually kill just to hear Drowning Lessons, Monroeville, Demolition Lovers and Bury Me In Black played? Because I know I would. For a single tour, if they played those songs, I'd be happy.
Even if I didn't get to see them live and play those songs, they'd be playing what the fans actually want to hear, so I'd still be happy.
Not spending half the night playing the shit that got them famous.
Rant Over.
Anyway, on a side note, if anyone feels like trying to tab out the bass for Death Before Disco, the tuning is EADG.
And yes, I know it is because Mikey is using the Fender Jaguar, and he nearly always uses this. |
