She's amazing.
Surprised there wasn't a thread about her before.

Me too. I saw her on Wednesday at a signing, and am really wishing I was part of the lucky lot who saw her yesterday or are seeing her today/tomorrow..

stupid, but the way you said it, does that mean the dresden dolls are over? :/

and somehow I've managed to stand awkwardly next to her and chicken out once, meet her and brian once, and go to her play without ever managing to hear her actually play music live. though she did sing in the play.

I read some place that they are done.
I don't know though, someone should confirm/dismiss this.

Either way that'd blow :/

I think they said they're on a break but I vaguely remember someone asking Amanda about the Dollsand she said something about them being over/not coming back for a while...idk.

She's my hero. In Love

I saw her in San Diego for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund with Vermillion Lies. She and Neil Gaiman signed stuff after the show.

Wowee, long time since updating-ness in this thread.

Amanda has two more albums! (Or EPs or something):
Amanda Palmer Performs The Popular Hits of Radiohead on Her Magical Ukulele (7 songs for $0.99)
Amanda Palmer Goes Down Under (12 songs for $0.69)

Fucking great deals. you'll never get deals like that from iTunes or ANYWHERE else. What she does is she names her minimum price. That urges people to donate more than that (but they don't HAVE to). Innovation.

My main reason for posting in this thread today is to show everyone Amanda's new video for On An Unknown Beach:

I am always up to date on AFP's whereabouts and adventures. I'm a fan of all her projects (Dresden Dolls, solo, Evelyn Evelyn and sort of Tristan.) I met her once when she was signing, but I was too shy and didn't know what to do. Hopefully I'll meet her again someday and like, have some valid conversation.
