Look, you really need to get over this. Okay- it didn't exactly go to plan. If this was your perfect world, she would have come back to you by now instead of meeting someone compeletely new and shacking up with them a few weeks down the line, despite alternating between latching onto you and ignoring you. You're still pissed about the way she's treated you, and pissed about the reasons she gave, and you're debating and doubting all the things that have gone on in the past couple of years. Now, the truth is, I don't blame you. Okay, yeah, you could have been much better, that's for sure- but I don't think you're as vile as she's proclaiming you are. But then again, I'm biased, aren't I?
The truth is that you need to move on. When I say move on, I don't mean find another girl. Because, let's face it, I've seen things run over by a truck that look better than you do, and you really should be concentrating on your Uni work, anyway- this degree isn't going to achieve itself. How many more signs do you need? The girl who you did have an attraction to has a boyfriend, and it would be the most impractical relationship in the universe, given how you have to go back to London for every holiday, and after the third year.
At the same time, you need to stop kidding yourself that you have a chance with any girl who smiles at you and says more than 'hello'. Take that girl at the Hallowe'en party for example. Just because she said your costume was nice, and she laughed when you made a joke about how you couldn't breathe in your mask, doesn't mean she wants to marry you and grow old with you. Judging by the numerous references to cosmetic surgery on her Facebook wall, it doesn't look like she wants to grow old at all, actually.
You used to talk about how you wanted to live life on your own terms, after your now-ex did all those horrible things to you the first time. So now's your chance. Take your driving test, pass it, get a job, buy a car, and do all of the other things you've always wanted to do. Sure, the feeling of wanting to roundhouse someone in the throat when you hear a love song will linger for a while- that can't be stopped, and I can't help you there. Psychology dictates that the conditioning on that one might take a while. But for now, just relax, for God's sake. Get your degree done, make your family proud, and [even though you keep saying you'll always be more miserable than a wet Tuesday], try to make yourself a tad happy. You'll thank me in the end.

certo, devo ammettere che non sono d'accordo sulle tue priorità...
ad esempio per me l'università è la cosa più importante al momento, quella che richiederebbe la maggior parte delle mie energie...però posso capire che per te non è così, che per te è la musica ad essere fondamentale.
