He is notorious for making refreshing remixes of anything from the English speaking Sleigh Bells, M.I.A. and Santigold, to the Portugese speaking Bonde Do Rolê. Diplo's real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, and he also has his own record label named Mad Decent. Mad Decent produce electronic dance music, and recently, moombahton (a fusion genre of house music and reggaeton). If you listen to the radio, you have most likely heard Diplo's beats before as he was a part of Major Lazer. Beyoncé used a sample of Major Lazer's Pon De Floor in her song Run The World. This is one of Diplo's most recent music videos - don't watch if you dislike booty shaking! Audio only version here. It has New Orleans bounce (energetic hip hop) and dubstep influences which Diplo has moved towards as his career has progressed. Diplo's earlier works have more lo-fi aspects and aesthetics similar to M.I.A.'s Paper Planes; almost like a heavily Westernized Eastern sound. I know a lot of ino-ers aren't into the dance music scene, but I really do recommend Diplo. His music is great for getting amped up, working out, partying, even chilling in your room on a Friday night. Let me know what you think~

I also like Pon De Floor, but i never knew that was him Personally, I'd much rather listen to good dance music than all the generic pop that's out there at the moment.

I listen to Express Yourself by Diplo..
I also like Pon De Floor, but i never knew that was him

Personally, I'd much rather listen to good dance music than all the generic pop that's out there at the moment.
