Hello all...

I haven’t been on this website in years. I was very surprised that I remembered my password (on my first try, no less).

I haven’t written a poem in a while either, but I was recently inspired.

I will be sharing some of my poetry on this thread. I hope y’all enjoy, and provide comments and constructive criticism.

Thanks,

Rage

It’s red
it’s a sea of red
The tide flows and crashes
and gets inside my head
Do you know
the meaning of hate?
It’s not what you think -
it is a heavy weight
Have you seen
the true face of fear?
That ice cold moment when
you need to get out of here
You know deep in your soul
that this is not your place
You know you should go
and leave without a trace
But you box this up
and you put it away
Because you are stuck
and here to stay

Sweat 21 September 2019

I feel it on my skin, it starts seeping in,
it radiates from my chest,
it says it knows best.
It shoots down my arm; it means no harm.
My jaw aches, my body shakes.
Aspirin as the pain is setting in.
Morphine, do you know what I have seen?
Nitro will dissolve; I will not lose resolve.
Oxygen, breathe, let it in,
I will thrive; I am revived.
