I don't really know much about the band, but I like a few songs.
Song 2 mainly, and I knew it before MCR covered it.
But then again, I'm pretty sure everybody has heard it before then. xD
It's a really popular song.

I hadn't, tbh.
haha, like a lot of people I know haven't heard of blur, including my mother and my best friend.
possibly my dad as well, but he's better informed about bands.
I really got more into them after blaqk audio's cover of girls and boys, and then after I started getting into other britpop I returned to blur and started listening to more than just the four most popular songs or whatever.

Aw, I love British bands. <3
I have no idea why, but alternative rock bands from the UK seem to have much better music (not because of where they're from, but they just sound better to me xD).

What's your favourite song by Blur?
I'll listen to a few of them.

I totally agree. dunno what it is about the UK, but they have better music.

well, currently I'm really loving popular ones still, I think. x]
but The Universal is my favourite right now.

Haha, Song 2 plays at the football games all the time at my school, but no one knows the name of the song or the band except for me. I start singing and get stared at. Who can help it? It's so infectious.

But yeh I own a couple albums and have been a fan for a while.

^^ WOAH. LUCKY!

Anyway, Blur = In Love
Has anyone seen the Glasto performance?
I downloaded it off an LJ community dedicated to Blur.
It was epic, the crowd was mental.

And I hope the Hyde Park gig would be on DVD.
I heard Damon cried, though. He went emotional during To The End Cry

xD Sorry I got excited.

there are a lot of good indie / alternative bands in america, they just aren't that big. Where as in the UK and EU its more the 'in' thing. Bands like the Killers and Kings of Leon made it big here selling out stadiums way before they could in America. But if you like Brit Pop, check out Pulp, Super Furry Animals, Supergrass, Seashores & Stone Roses.

Also Damon Albarn works with the well known band Gorillazs.
Blur were a really good Brit Pop band I remember the whole are you for Oasis or Blur thing and there big dual off for number one at Chritmas one year.
