Hello Saferide
Swedish kind of singer-songwriter (she's got english lyrics though). Some calls it indiepop, idk what to call it. But I really like it. Check out her myspace

The Wombats
I suck at describing band's genres, but their myspace says Indie / Pop Punk / Alternative. I'd drop Pop punk, but otherwise I think it's a good description. Their song 'Let's dance to Joy Division' is catchy as hell! Check them out on myspace

Alice in videoland
A swedish band (also have english lyrics) that plays some kind of electronica/electropop. They'll move into your head and they'll dance there when you've heard them, I swear. Their myspace

I'd say You Me At Six and We Are The Ocean...Both amazing British bands.A very small amount of people listen to them and that sucks.

in a way, i honestly think the jonas brothers.
like. you can say they have a million fans, blah, blah.
but they're underrated in the way that some people
won't even give them a chance.
i think a lot of people would like their music if they
just put aside everything else.
a lot of people just seem to hate them because of the ~fan girls~.
but idek. that might just be me.

Alkaline Trio are underrated. they're big but behind-the-scenes big.
they should be huge and a lot better known than they are.
Everyone should have heard of them, not just people into music, if you know what I mean?

Good excuse.:
Meg and Dia & Mayday Parade.
It is so stupid how my favourite band(M&D) and my third favourite band (M P) get so under-rated.
They have done more work in their youngs lives than you will in your whole life.
err, right...

Beborn Beton, Melotron, Welle:Erdball, Covenant, And One, Apoptygma Berzerk, Icon of Coil, Seabound, etc. Some of these bands are quite well known in the electronic scene, but the genre itself is very underrated.
Also, Stromkern, Wolfsheim, Lights of Euphoria, Front 242, VNV Nation, Assemblage 23.

The Faint. Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes was once a member of the Faint, and meh, more people seem to talk about Bright Eyes, at least here, than they do about the Faint. The Faint deserve to be a Big Thing. And the Explosion, they played really great music, and just weren't that well known. Also, Suede. They were really big for a while, in fact maybe overbig, but I'd never heard of them until really recently. Which is just weird, considering that for a time, they were as big as Blur and Oasis, and were actually competing with them. I still don't understand why Suede faded. Probably because they weren't so keen on rivalries. :/

Oh, and Camouflage, and Skinny Puppy, but again, these fall under the electronic category and that's probably why I don't hear about them as much as I should.

^ amazing musician. She sounds exactly the way she does live as she does on CD. And I got the privilege of meeting her in September. She's really nice. And if you think she's too mellow for your liking, I suggest looking up her band, Billy and the Lost Boys.
