I started listening to them when I was just 13. My sister is 13 now and she's getting into them. Okay... so that's not very young.

But personally, I think it's fine if they're getting into different music. Kids are going to hear swearing and worse song topics in chart music that is played everywhere. So I'd say that it's fine for people to be getting into them at a young age.

I was 10 when I first listened to MCR, and I will admit that I was a bit freaked out (the song was The Ghost of You) but I loved it immediately. I don't think MCR is half as bad as some of the stuff out there.

Your right and I agree. Some kids start listening to worse things like Eminem and such at a very young age and it causes problem later on. Sometimes they start to talk or try to act like that person.
MCR is fine for younger kids as long as they don't get carried away with cursing, ect.

^ I don't think Eminem is bad, but his songs do contain a lot of violence, and I think it all depends on how you take it, therefore, a more mature person would be better able to like his music. If that makes sense. I think that's with any music that's profound, though, MCR included.
I started listening to MCR was I was 11, and I'm not going to lie, they caused me to grow up a lot faster.

MCR caused me to act different... more mature. I think it's a great thing for kids to grow up, it's what they need as long as they're going it the right direction.

I actually got into them when I was 6 but my parents didn't approve so I had to stop listening to them. But I got back into them when I was 9 or 10 a few years after my dad died and it helped me. I was still really depressed (a few people have actually told me that a 9 or 10 year old can't truly know the meaning of depressed) but they helped me and WTTBP helped the best because I understood everyone has to die.

Sorry got off subject. Anyway I think it could help some kids who lost people in their lives and help them mature. I would rather have my future kids listen to them than some of the music that is 'cool'.

I think this topic It's a bit stupid .. I mean, everyone can listen whatever music they want, no matter the age.. music it's not something you can censor.. I started listening to them like, a year ago (or two years maybe idk..) and maybe you think I'm just a teenie (as you call it) who doesn't even know the concepts and lyrics... but they've thought/influence me a lot.. and I can actually relate to their music.. I also hate teenies who says they love and they're obsessed with a band when they don't even know what lyrics mean, but not all are like that so.. that's just my opinion
