Famous Living Dead Fabulous Killjoy Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 173 | But it tells so much about their lives and mistakes and all they've been through, and they just want to tell us that and not make us do the same mistakes, i think. But i really looooove the lyrics. Like some before me wrote, Gerard is the best songwriter ever. And that's of course just my opinion. |
Emerald Muerte Bleeding on the Floor Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 1134 | I agree with everyone else. Once I heard their lyrics for myself and grasped their meaning my life really was changed, I had been so selfish before My Chem I think really helped me realise that it's okay not to be okay[however cliche it sounds]. They do inspire me in a sense that they give me hope to aspire to make a change and really put everything into all that I do, Gerard,Ray,Frank,Mikey and Bob are all fantastic role-models because they have such a passion and faith in everything they do and play. The fantasy element to My Chem also amazes me it really just makes me more curious about how people take things if that makes any sense. Something that sets My Chem so far from other bands I listen to is that their songs are so heart-felt and really do relate to reality, life and how hard it can be. Gerard is an amazing song-writer, thank god he started up My Chem he's made such a change in the world. I really hope I can do something similar, My Chemical Romance have given so many people a reason to believe I'm really proud to be a fan of their music. :] |

RIPTheBlackParade Killjoy Age: 28 Gender: Female Posts: 3 | i think that they aren't just words, they are feelings. i think that you feel the emotions in the lyrics when that song is being played. i think that is a mixture of the way that gerard sings the lyrics and the actual lyrics themselves. i think that the lyrics are part of what makes the band so bloody amazing. quite a big part actually. truely amazing lyrics. (wow, there was a lot of "i think"s in that post...) |
made from neon Salute You in Your Grave Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 2036 | Their lyrics are... they are... hmm. I can't find a word. But they are intelligent and beautiful. They tell stories that change lives. They make excellent use of metaphor. They are accompanied extremely well by music, and they never, ever stray from the cause. |
a touch of anarchy. Shotgun Sinner Age: - Gender: - Posts: 7981 | Brilliant lyrics, but some of them relate to me in more ways than I would like. I've been a bad motherfucker, tell your sister I'm another, GO GO GO! really relates to me, as I lie alot (Bad motherfucker), but everyone thinks I'm an angel (Tell your sister I'm another!). |
Queen Obscene Always Born a Crime Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 5938 | I agree! I can't believe how Gerard comes up with everything, he is awesome! Especially the lyrics from Bullet, they're so poetic (do you say it like that?). As many other people, Famous Last Words enpowered me a lot. |
Por Vida Killjoy Age: - Gender: - Posts: 31 | The lyrics really hit me. Like a ton of bricks. You see, I was in a really depressed state of my life two summers ago. I'd stopped freaking out about bands, I'd hardly heard anything off TBP and then one night, around 1AM in the summer something compelled me to go on the official MCR site. Famous Last Words started playing and I just remember crying all through it, just the tears pouring down my face. Just the way it was written, the chorus was just so moving and just when I had stopped crying, the third verse hit and it all started over again. It really felt like somebody was just hugging me and telling me everything was going to be okay, that I could make it through this and anything else that came along. And then I look at people who just worship Miley Cyrus because they can dance to her songs and am totally like: "At least my boys are actually out there doing something." |

Bad Obsession Salute You in Your Grave Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 2469 | One thing is when you like the sound. But when you actually take a time and listen to the lyrics, well, that's another completely different thing. All of them hit me in a way.. and I can relate with most of them. One thing I love about the lyrics is how can every person has their own meaning.. and the concepts and all.. it's just genius.. the lyrics are genius.. beautiful, meaningful, inspiring .. I could never explain good enough.. |
