This thread is about having children.

WHat do you think about it? WOuld you do it?

Under what conditions would you decide whether or not to have children?

Do you think that conceiving a child is positive or negative for yourself and/or the world?

What were your ideas in the past about having children and having your own children (like when you were younger)?

Why would you either want or not want children?

What do you think about others having children?

Hmm, no one's answered this so I will be the first!

I would only decide to have a child when I am financially and emotionally stable, good job, good boyfriend, I felt I was mature enough and ready.
I'm aware that's not always how people end up having children, but it's the only time I would ever go through with a pregnancy and keep it as my own.
If I had a child at this age, or anything below 25 - I think it would destroy me mentally.
Once I am content with my life and confident, I think I would find it easier to raise a child.
Children are great, I'm not a child hater. I want to study children, nature vs. nurture and things like that. I think they're interesting.
I personally think it's only sensible to have children when you are ready. Like, I watch Teen Mom and 16 and Pregnant
and before some of those kids become parents, even afterwards, they can be so immature.
I don't like the idea of kids raising kids. In situations where you have family/friend/government and financial support, that's okay
but heaps of teenage parents I know of and see on tv are not ready to give up their youth for parenthood, and it's sad.
Children need mature parents to guide and teach them, and a stable upbringing.

I would and look forward to having children however it must be under the right circumstances. The parent/parents must be financially stable and mature enough to deal with a child or you could expose the child to uncertain circumstances. I think having children is very positive and could be a good influence if the parents guide it well. I'd consider children when I'm 30 but any earlier and I feel I won't have done what I want in life. Once you have a kid the baby takes importance.
