Not all right
And just a tad drunk
Just a tad depressed
Just a few "cat scratches" from a "friends cat"

But not gone
Not so far
Just in limbo
Not keen to live
Not keen to die
But keen to breath and be content

Looking for joy
Looking for release
In a world so terrible
A world too beautiful to leave
A world too painful to bare

Is this what makes our scars no beautiful?
Our shamed marks
A joyful moment
And a reminder
Of why we should and shouldn't

Show your scars brave soldier
The world will look away
And in your moment of confession
You will find friendship or pain
I pray its the brotherhood you seek

This may be a drunk drabble
This may be a baring of soul
Or just another forgotten line
No place when your unwanted and alone
Where do these souls go when no one will take them in?

Would you care if I died?
Should I bleed to death
Would you try save me
Stop my bleed
Hope the doctors can help?

Would the stranger on the street
Would they think to look
To see me for what I am
Or would they avoid my broken body
Pretend they are blind

Would you care dear friends?
You claim to care
Yet scream and shout
Point the finger
And let me fall
You are blind to my pain
And to me

Would you care my confidents?
I tell all
Yet still I keep such secrets
You are a rock in a storm
Yet I wish to let go

Would you care my blood family?
Blood makes no family
You have done nothing but
Lie
Cheat me
Shout
Insult
Hurt
Hit
Nothing but pain

Would you care my sisters and brothers?
My true family
Should your brethren fall
Would you help him to his feet?
Or watch him fall
Some of you would
Some would not

The day grows nearer
Only 2 months away
I will see how you react
I will see your stand
And I will learn who was a friend
