mcrfreak19 Killjoy Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 3 | I think Gerard fell in love with somebody but then the person he thought he fell in love with cheated on him and now he is not in love with the person well i could be wrong but thts my opinion on the lyrics to the song. |
xoxomycemxoxo Killjoy Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 37 | Welllll in my opinion... He broke up with her because of something stupid... She changed so she isnt the person he knew... So he doesnt love her like he did "yesterday" get it? |
screwlinseygeeismine Killjoy Age: 27 Gender: Female Posts: 5 | I think that's it's about gerard knowing that his girlfriend doesn't love him and her not wanting to tell him, and him sort of wondering if she's ever going to admit that she doesn't love him, and that she's just hurting him by dragging this out. Now I'm not sure, but that's what it sounds like. |
Rorschach Test Jazz Hands Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 351 | Here The Patient lets go of all the resentment and anguish he felt through his love life, essentially sending a letter to this woman after death. He tells her that he no longer loves her and that he will no longer obsess over their relationship that was doomed from the start. He's letting go of all his harbored negativity and frustration about her and moving on. |

Afraid of what my leaving would lead to (I wasn't leaving for good, I was leaving to visit family), and 2.they were spoken in an effort to manipulate me. That's just what happened to me, My response was that I wished he could be more mature about the subject. That's just what happened to me, I don't know where Gerard Way's head was at when he wrote the song, but my experience gave me some insight on what the song could possibly mean and experience happened after I already knew the song, so I had to keep from laughing. |
My Chemical Kid Killjoy Age: 24 Gender: Female Posts: 33 | I think this song is about two lovers who after awhile relize their love is fading but both saying nothing. Then eventually she leaves but he knew it was coming, "well when you go/ don't ever think I'll try tomake you stay." He also thinks he'll be better off without her, "mabey when you get back I'll be off to find another way." I think they both think that they've brought eachother down by trying to make their relationship work but "baby when they knock you down and out is where you oughta stay." Meaning they should just give up on trying to work it out. "When you go would you even turn to to say 'hey/ i dont love you like i did yesterday.'" Meaning would, when she goes will she finally give a truthful straight forward answer on why shes leaving, instead of just leaving, eventhough he already knows, someone just needed to finally say it. |
