Kaede Bleeding on the Floor Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 1359 | Its varied. Some think they're awesome, some think they're just a bunch of emo dudes. |
star-crossed lover Fabulous Killjoy Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 124 | There's only a few people who know about them at my school. The rest don't give a shit. |
IceHog69 Bulletproof Heart Age: 31 Gender: - Posts: 25232 | no one at my school actually cares about them, to be honest. People laugh, cause I have teeshirts, hoodies, and a binder, but they don't really care. My school pretty cool about that sort of thing. People respect each others musical taste. yeah, they press their own choices on each other, but if you don't like ti, or you like something more, the most you'll get is a laugh. Apart from the 10th graders. They are all mean. |
fun ghoul In a Bullet's Embrace Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 58705 | i work for the school paper and they featured emo, 'emos walk among us' as it was titled.. then i felt annoyed when the name my chemical romance came up...-sigh- |

brandleys; Death Defying Age: 28 Gender: Female Posts: 186298 | my school now doesn't really care. but one time my Lang. Arts teacher played WTTBP in class and everybody was complaining because they were rock and not rap. and then the stupid chav sitting next to me kept yelling 'emo' and it was so annoying. !!! at my old school, though, everybody either liked them [when only knowing one or two songs] or didn't know who they were. all these preps thought i was cool for liking them. it was weird, but it was probably because i was the only one who didn't like the Jonas Brothers or Hannah Montana. AND my lang. arts teacher last year really liked them too and used them as examples when he was teaching. it was cool. =] |
Ronnie Radke Killjoy Age: - Gender: - Posts: 40 | fer gods sake. you guys need to get a grip on what mcr is. a fucking emo band. its just like the jonas brothers, in a way. there's a reason they're always blasting in limited too. there's a reason why those girls who shop at nothing but 'preppy' stores listen to them. theyre a pop band. those preps are attracted to them. now there's some goth people that like them too. you dont have to be a prep top like them. but theyre a prep band. same with mcr, but with emo. there's a reason their merch is sold at hot topic. there's a reason that people call them emo. because they ARE. their merch, their lyrics, it's emo. whats wrong with that? its not them being called emo makes them a suicidal band. i could on fer hours about this. i'm just gonna wait until someone responds to this (if at all). mcr. is. an. emo. band. accept it. |
severus. Awake and Unafraid Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 12901 | My school's a varied place. I'm sure they have fans and non-fans. |
WayDown Bleeding on the Floor Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 1163 | A bully in my school once said, "My Chemical Romance sucks" when I had a MCR background on my laptop, but I didn't give a fuck. I know of some fans, though . Of course, my school is so small, so there aren't that many. |
TheUnspokenTruth Killjoy Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 24 | Before i write this lets get one thing clear.. I.Am.Not.Emo. Ok? Great. I listen to rock, pop, indie... Etc. Me: a person Prep: I KNOW THAT. are you an emo or got? Me: Go away please. Prep: your such a freak like .. Omg gawwwd.. Grr.. Annoys me soo much. |
xXPsychoKittyXx Killjoy Age: 28 Gender: Female Posts: 11 | Alot of kids at my school dislike them. I hate this one boy in my class who says "they are soft". I disagree with strongly. They aren't soft at all. |
icyplut007 Killjoy Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 49 | in general people at my school have the worst taste in music =/. the only time people will even wear band t shirts is because they want to "look cool" and if you ask them about the band they've never even listened before. so most people at my school think mcr is emo and i dont even want to go there. however, someone asked me if it had something to do with my chemistry class once =/. rofl. though, once in english class we had to go up to the board and write the name of our hero on it, and i wrote Gerard Way. the girl sitting next to me starts laughing and goes "omg i love gerard way! hes soooooo hot! omg! omg!' and im like 'yeah, he's amazing, my chemical romance is my favorite band.' and shes like 'theyre okay but hes SOOO HOT!' =/ oh well. |
angelofthemissed Fabulous Killjoy Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 132 | There are some who think they suck and that they are goth. Other's pretend to like them because they want to look dark Me and two other people adore them with all of our hearts |
MCRKilljoy666 Killjoy Age: 20 Gender: Male Posts: 3 | ryan getzlaf.: That sucks. At my school if I wear an MCR shirt, people are like "What's a chemical romance?". If I answer, they will say that it sucks. The school plays awful music on fridays. I asked them to play Welcome to the Black Parade, and they said that it had lots of bad words in it and that it encouraged self-harm and suicide. That is nonsense! There are no bad words in the song and it actually inspired me to stop self-harming. The school also said it was not on the school iPod, so they could not play it. Five minutes later, a kid asked to play a song called "F*** The Universe". It was not on the school iPod, but they let the kid plug in his phone. NEXT THING YOU KNEW, IT WAS BLASTED ACROSS THE ENTIRE SCHOOL. Apparently the no bad words/no inappropriate content/music must be on school iPod rule only applies to me. I got really pissed off and unplugged the speakers, then I went to hang out with my fellow killjoys. I told them what had happened, and we are trying to get people to sign a thing so we can get MCR songs. |
