That's just what Gee said--it's his least favourite MCR song. Mine too, actually. Kind of cliche and boring.

Y'know, simply enough it's about being held in a place that you don't want to be, possibly with the one you love, and you just want to escape to a better life with them, one where you are free and don't have to worry.

Ah, I'm glad someone agreed with me so I don't feel like an idiot for thinking that...I mean, that is what the song means to me regardless of what others think, I'm just glad that someone else sees it that way too.

It's been a while since anyone has posted here and I'm not sure if I am needed here or not, but I'm doing a project on this song. And this is one of the better places to go to...

so anyways

I was having a conversation with my mom just a few moments ago. I let her look at the lyrics and this was her interpretation. (It makes sense when you add in the story line of the entire album.) She said something like this: It sounds like they already know each other. They are in a hospital. And he can hear her and the machines keeping her alive. He wants out, and he wants her to come with him. my mom also thinks that she dies.

Well, the "drawing blood" thing certainly does point toward rehab. But would they have breathing machines and emergency rooms in rehab? I think it's a genuine hospital, personally. I kind of like the "guy fell in love with a coma patient" idea--it's twisted enough to be MCR's handiwork.

I love how the song is stressful and impatient at the beginning. I always hear that tune when I'm stressed. Then it gets more optimistic--maybe something good happened. Possibly the coma patient woke up?

And yeah--"Cubicles" is the least fave
this song is about a very good friend of gerard but she get sick of a very dangerous illness and he go to the hospital with she anh he says all the thing that happen in that place and in that moments the girl says that she loves him

enjoy

It's hard for me to think about what this song means metaphorically -- I think I've been to enough hospitals that the song's most relatable this way.

I thought the title was being sarcastic -- I won't be too embarrassed because maybe I'm not wrong. Well, I'm never wrong on what MCR's songs mean, inasmuch as that meaning is true to me.

Was I any help?

my opinion on this one is that gerad had some medical emergency like an overdose or something and was rushed to the emergency room where he met some one and they fell in love (this is all non-literal) and the line "they stared us down when we met in the emergency room" was like the two of them were being looked down upon for this?
anywaysss the girl is in a coma or something and they are near eachother, and he can hear her breathing (with help from cold machines)from her room.
or something like that.
"silent dreams we never wake" seems like a coma to me
and in the end they are planning an escape or something.

and i also heard that the line "some day, this day, we kept falling down" was that they/he escaped but kept coming back for the same reasons each time. he was rushed to the emergency room.

I honestly love this songFile This at one point was my favorite...but anyway.

I honestly don't know exactly the meaning of this song...but something about a screwed up romance perhaps? Demolition lovers meeting?
