have anyone been to that or heard of it?
I thought maybe some of you have since schools have Exo days which leads up to the Big Exo Day- line up of bands...hardcore, screamo, punk...skate park, motocross, bmx demos, clothes...

The one in Sydney last year had hardcore bands like The Valley & Antiskeptic (i think)....they're part of the scene in that under 18s hardcore music venue up in Castle Hill...dunno if anyone's been to that one either...lots of screamo.

Big Exo day's actually a Christian-run event, which is pretty awesome for the exclusive sort of music there (no pop, no other trash- oh yeh bit of rap)...the crowd was great too & I heard the mosh pit was pretty viscious.

any thoughts?

yeah I'd go this year too. I kinda wasted my ticket last year...the people I hung around with just sat in the over 18s lounge doing nothing much. I got to see a bit of the bands outside except my friends just walked away & I didn't want to be a loner so I went with them. But this year it's too good to miss even if I'll be a loner. Oh yeh - that time last year I didn't know what screamo music was so we were making fun of them screaming 'DIE DIE YOU ALL DIE' ...which is so not the fact.

lol the christian part at the end- don't worry- it seems most of the people were new to that sort of thing. Do you remember Olivia the Band? have you seen their cd's anywhere? my friend likes them.

what's the Christian part at the end?
thats a pretty cool event really, especially since it's Christian-run.

you might have it in Adelaide too- it's run by Youth Alive...so at night everyone goes into the stadium where a few bands will play (& the mosh pit is pretty huge) etc, then the Youth Alive band will come up & play some contemporary Christian stuff (like Hillsong songs)...for the message part there's usually a guest speaker- last year we were SO fortunate to hear Rachel Scotts dad (victim of Columbine shooting). His message was basically about Rachel's mission in life to make the world a better place by doing one good thing at a time (like talking to the loner whom no one speaks to) & it turns out that she somehow knew she was going to die young...but by her death, her message got out perhaps more effectively than if she was still alive.
