Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 3660 | April 23rd, 2007 at 11:14am I've met some of the most amazing people while following MCR on tour, people I'm still proud to call my best friends.
That's the main thing, I think. |

And that it's ok if I don't feel like smiling one day, or if I'm down.
That it's ok to be who I want to be
And they helped with some other stuff.
I dunno, there's just something about them. You can put a song on, and you just wanna....sing as loud as you can, and jump and ran and go crazy.
Thats what they make me feel like doing.
Kinda like feeling alive.
Yeah I gues... lmao...I sound so lame |

Age: 31 Gender: Male Posts: 73 | April 23rd, 2007 at 11:55am Their music made me think and changed me a lot. When Gerard said in an interview "We don't need to do big speeches on stage, there is already so much said in the songs"(or something like that) he was right
When I look back, how much I changed since before I knew MCR, Im amazed.
It saved me! |

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 229 | April 23rd, 2007 at 03:38pm the lyrics to their songs are deep.
ive never heard any other group whos lyrics are half as meaniful as mcr.
the song "cancer" gets me every time.
my dad has cancer (tumor in his back; wont ever get better), and every time i hear that song, i cry.
its like a release for me.
mcr also kind of helped me see things in a whole new perspective.
i cant really explain it, but...you know.
ive changed so much since ive discovered mcr. |

Age: 31 Gender: Female Posts: 230 | April 23rd, 2007 at 03:58pm My icon says it all. They saved my life and made me want to become happier. Their music made me see that suicide is dumb. And they made me want to actually start caring about school and do better. Now I love life and love school.
They have done more for me than I could have ever imagined. |

Age: 29 Gender: Female Posts: 262 | April 24th, 2007 at 05:38am MCR...has helped me to practice singing screamo...something I consider useful while singing while others hate it...except for my friend who totally loves gee way. The band's songs also helped me break away from ugly boyband clones scattered all over the universe. They're sickening...thinking that they're rock bands. (I want to vomit,) This band taught me the power of kohl eyeliner and screaming your lungs out. |

I do what I want, I wear what I want, I say what I want.
I'm not gonna follow everybody and be somebody I'm not.
I feel much safer and happier.
I'm proud to say; I'm Ami. |

Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 2183 | April 24th, 2007 at 10:42pm They made me less afraid to be myself. I used to be all insecure about making the choices I wanted because I was afraid of what other people would say or think. Now I don't really give a shit what other people think, because of Gerard's teaching me about acceptance. Not only that, but also their music just makes me feel a lot more comfortable about everything. MCR changed my life in a huge, unexplainable way! THANKS!!<33 |
