I went to the MCR/Bon Jovi concert last night and honestly, I was disappointed. Of course, My Chem was great but the audience was a bunch of pricks. 90% of the audience consisted of middle aged fat or bald people wearing cowboy hats...all in all...it was pathetic. It's really funny how teenagers and kids in their 20s can be more mature than a bunch of adults. Throughout MCR's performance several people said "We want Bon Jovi," and other rude comments towards My Chemical Romance. I bet a lot of fans there wanted to see MCR play some old stuff but the only song they played that wasn't off The Black Parade was I'm Not Okay. I was really surprised when they didn't end with Helena...which they end with almost every time, sometimes followed by Cancer. You'd think that since their grandmother lived in NJ, they'd want to play that above all others. I suspect that they were forced to end early since most of the band went to one side and someone was mouthing something and waving his hands and Gerard said "Uh...this is our last song," when he usually knows what he's doing. Gerard did make funny comments like the intro to Teenagers, "This song is about what you all used to be, Teenagers," which was pretty funny. It was really sad when the upper corner was told to scream (probably about 15-20 people) and we were louder than the people on the floor which was 100 people...Gerard also said "What the hell, there's like 15 people up there and they're louder than you?"

All in all, Bon Jovi was pretty pathetic and a lot of MCR fans left after the first few songs (myself included). Bon Jovi are complete sellouts. It really was disgraceful how no one (even Jon Bon Jovi) mentioned My Chemical Romance, but what's really cool is Bon Jovi wasn't the first band on the stage in the new Prudential Center, My Chemical Romance was.

It wasn't their concert, what more do you want?

Could've gone in the anti-MCR thread, btw.

FYI, I've read reviews where it was said Jon was wearing an MCR shirt and saying nothing but nice things about them. Disrespectful? I think not. You're being as disrespectful towards Bon Jovi as their fans were being towards MCR.

Review:
I'll just say that Jon said some nice things about MCR and called them Jersey's next generation band. Then when they came back for their encore, Jon was wearing an MCR shirt.

I was there with my family, cause my parents love both bands. I also love Bon Jovi, I did grow up listening to them.We went with section 124, last row and then an usher came over to us during the first song that MCR played and handed us 4 tickets to go down to the 3rd row in front of the stage. I was in all my MCR stuff, they knew I was a fan. It was so cool and I thought it was so nice that Bon Jovi chose My Chem on opening night and I realize that there were people there that didnt like My Chem. That's their loss. Bon Jovi had all great thing to say about MCR and Jon came out wearing their shirt. He really supported them. Anyway I loved the show, & i made real eye contact with MCR.
Here's a few pictures that I took from the concert(we had 2 different cameras with us):
