Bioweapons are Tools/Weapons created from living organisms and mutated into a product of destruction.

Anthrax is one of them.

Or like the Bioweapons in videogames with half mutilated humans like in Resident Evil 3.

Whats your opinion?

I'm just gonna go out on a limb here and say that we, in this century, probably don't have much to worry about in the ways of bio-engineered zombies. Not that I'm hating on Resident Evil (I love those games) but we're leagues away from that sort of stuff.

As for real world scenarios, biological weapons and everything else considered "chemical warfare" has been going on for centuries. In medieval times they used to toss or catapult plague-ridden bodies over walls to infect the populace. In early American history, soldiers gave small pox infested blankets to native Americans for the purpose of warfare. Then beginning in the 20th century, countries started experiementing with viruses and other biological diseases in efforts to combat their enemies.

It's evil and cruel, but it's been going on for hundreds of years. At this point, there's no real stopping it. You just have to be prepared. Everyone's probably armed already. We had treaties against the "use" of Chemical Weapons (look up Geneva Protocol) but not the production or stock piling of up until the 1972 Biological Weapons Convention and the 1993 Chemical Weapons Convention. There was a serious gap there in which every country had a window to develop and stock up on bio-weapons.The Chemical Wepaons Convention set up a timeline for everyone who had stockpiles and production centers to disarm and destroy all stockpiles, but so far only Albania has completely complied. The U.S. is taking it's time and beating around the bush (pun intended).

i know i just wanted a very bad example of a popular culture icon so people would understand.

It is evil and cruel, i dont understand what would reduce anyone to use it at all. its disgusting that we even needed to do anything like this, and the grotesque things their creating we can only hope will never see the light of day.

Morals and ethics aside, bioweapons are a pretty stupid idea. No matter how many scientists you have working for you, once that disease is out there, you can't just take it back, and you can't possibly know what will happen once it's loose. It's incredibly dangerous--not only to the people it's used on, but to the people using it.

What I think is retarded is that when someone wants to test it, they do it in a public area where it is sure to cause major damage, but then say they meant to cause no harm at all.
