Journeydrifter Killjoy Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 6 | I went to the mcr concert at stubbs in Austin last night, and I must say it was awesome!! When I arrived it was around 5:45pm and the line was already 2 blocks away. When I got inside I immediately ran to the merch booth and got a few things. at 7pm Drive by went on. The crowd of people were still gathering in, or getting food and merch. I was standing not far from the sound crew station.(I actually stood against the bar of the booth) I enjoyed the Music of Drive by, so I scurried away and bought their cd for $5 as a friend of mine kept my place. By the time Billy Talent went on stage many people within the crowd were growing restless. Billy Talent totaly kicked ass on stage. It was their first time ever playing in Austin. I was ecstatic when they played Try Honesty, since it is one of my favorite songs. When mcr came on stage I was bombarded by a line of tall people getting in front of me(this is a problem since i am quite short, so i was pissed). When it came time for mcr to play Im Not Okay(I Promise) we in the crowd hadn't reserved much energy, and Gerard Way said so, but massive jumping and dancing still occurred! Their last song of the night was Helena and given my certain circumstances(my grandmother loved that song and she passed away on my 18th birthday) cried throughout the song. The entire show was so great!!!! I must say it was my favorite show this year(it is going to be one of my fave shows of all time) It was fun!!! |
John Wayne Fabulous Killjoy Age: - Gender: - Posts: 109 | Awwwwwwsome!! i happened to be near Austin on the day MCR was there!! But by the time I had to leave, I found out about the whole MCR thing and that they were sold out, and I was like, "sdfskldjfsdkfs...." It sounds like a lot of fun! It was at a BBQ place, though, right? Or some restaurant in Austin, I think? So, was the crowd big or small? Moshpits anywhere? Hehe, I'm trying to imagine what it would be like at a BBQ. |

Bullets of Revenge Fabulous Killjoy Age: 30 Gender: Female Posts: 129 | I went to this concert. It was amazing! It was my first time to see MCR. I drove 9 hours to get there and stood in line for 6 hours. I lost my money so I didn't get any merch, and then I dropped my phone so I didn't get any pictures or videos. But it was still the best concert of my life. |
