Correct.
The bass is just a guitar that is lower, and has two less strings, so while a guitar's strings (from top to bottom/ highest to lowest) are EBGDAE, a Bass' is GDAE, and the notes on each fret is exactly the same as those on guitar, just a couple of octaves lower.
Most guitarists can easily play bass. It's easier to play in some ways than normal guitar. |
