He got better live after being clean and sober, definately. But you have to take into account that on Bullets, he'd had no singing lessons or anything and the type of thing he was trying to communicate was completely different to TBP. He was still trying to sound agressive, but he just had more control on the last album. Also, to people to who say he sometimes misses notes lives, it's usually because he's jumping around and singing for a long time, practically non stop.

I don't really know about better...but Gerard's voice has matured over the years. They still sound great on the albums, and fantastic live...and yes Ray does sound a bit off on the vocals, but he kinda always has.........but better? Hmmm, can't really say...possibly....

I heard some demos of songs like Skylines and Turnstiles and Early Sunsets, from AGES ago. They were actually really good, Gerard sounded a lot younger but he did sound great. But, these were just demos so it was different from the live performances when Gerard was drunk. His voice has definitely matured a lot and he sounds fantastic live now that he's sober.

Gasp! Ray's vocals are AMAZING!!! Who do you think pulls off that incredible ending to FLW live?
