I know. Ugh. How long have they been teasing us with it? So glad it's finally out now.

Speaking of The Matches. I just made a friend watch this. I've seen this a billion times, but I still laugh like crazy.

Ahaha Rhiannon I've seen that before, but it still makes me laugh!

Also I'm working at the show (the Royal Adelaide) and I'm selling showbags and I am tired, it started today. I only worked 3-10 (compared to Bart's 10-9, for example!) but I'm tired now. Ah dear. It's pretty fun though. So all you Adelaide people, if you come to the show, I'm on stalls 6-8 (and maybe 9?)... yarr. I'm tired now (or at least my legs are!) so I think I'll go to bed shortly!

nooo! red hair and Gerard is so wrong! well, I don't really care, just as long he comes back to Australia next time with black hair.

thanks sez, I'll check out the play shortly...& I hope your pay is worth the hard work!

I've had a massive day yesterday. The Rock Eisteddfodd Grand Finals were held at the Entertainment Centre. I had to wake up at 4am to get there to volunteer...and it ended at 12midnight. So dead afterwards.

But being there, ducking in and out of backstage corridors & dressing rooms & the loading dock was pretty exciting in itself! lol, I'll try to explain myself... the air of the place seemed to be reminiscent of all the amazing performers who had performed there in the past. You know, all the TOC bands...MCR, ummm, Coldplay? Muse? Iron Maiden? yeh...like, the place just lingers with their prescence. So weird? or maybe I'm off with the fairies Laughing

oh, and so hilarious- Channel 9 came to broadcast it live on thursday arvo, then afterwards I ended up sitting the in office eating bowl noodles while the tv presenter lady and guy were trying to get the weather report together on speakerphone with the weatherman on the other end of the line.

so glad it's over. I've sold enough program booklets at the door. Oh yeh, and I was selling merch with the Playbill merch guy. Apparently he sells merch for all the shows at the entertainment centre...i so regret not asking him for discount merch next time some good band plays there. dammit!

Mark Priestly's family specifically asked for there to be no media at the funeral on Thursday,
and fucking channel 9 sent reporters to film the whole thing and it's streamed on the fucking ninemsn website.
and it was on the news, too. I am so angry, I think that's really disrespectful when they asked for it to be private.

^I really only come her for the aussie thread to be honest lol

anyways,
1: the new Mammal album = awesome. Now i just need Mammal to do an all ages sydney show and i'll be happy. Can't wait to see these songs live again. Theres just something about them live that you can't capture on a CD...
like Zeke's creepy staring...i found it intense enough when i saw them at come together, i can't imagine what it was like one on one Rh!annon lol

2: How did i not know about the amazingness that is Karnivool before?? lol I finally remembered to look them up after continuously hearing about them and i have seriously been missing out. Smile

I've realised that until this year i had really underestimated Aussie music...

Ohhhhhh I am delirious!!!! I started work at 9 this morning and finished at 9.40 tonight!!! And then at 8 some red bull girls came around and we got free red bull!!! it was fantastic. Except for:
a) neither me nor the girl i was on with like red bull
b) we realised we'll never get to sleep now
c) we dont' think we were actually ALLOWED to drink red bull behind the counter... hehehe

oh my goodness seriously though, so tired, so delirious, my legs hurt so much, but it's actually quite fun!!

and just quietly, i LOVE Irish accents. And it just so happens that two of my stock boys are Irish! *droooool* i could listen to them all day. they're all so nice. it's fun.

EDIT: AND two famous people came in today! Chad Cornes, and Ringo from Neighbours!!! ahahhaa that one was hilarious (this was after the red bull delirium had hit), i served the girl in the group he was with, and then the girl i was on with was like '....isn't that ringo from neighbours?!?!?!' and so we both went slightly crazy..... ah fun fun times.

Emily; totally agree with you there. And I can tell you first hand that the songs are a billion times better live. Except for Zero Infinity haha.

Oh, and on the note of his creepy staring, y'know how he's all wide-eyed and intense-eyed when on stage singing about politics or equally confronting issues? He's exactly like that when talking to him in person. I met him last year through my bf's brother as he used to work at KMW where Mammal were for 6 months. Anyway, he started talking about the Liberals and had that same wide-eyed look. It was kinda funny to see.

On a random note, I think my Mammal fangirling is starting to rub off at Uni now. Now that there's posters around for their tour everywhere I have people coming up and saying "Hey, I saw a poster for that band Mammal, it made me think of you."

And Sez; that shift sound brutal! And I 100% agree on the Irish accent. It is to die for. I told Cameron he needs to grow an Irish accent.

Oh wow I was hyper and overtired =P wonderful stuff, I tell you! Yes, get him to grow one! It will be fantastic. I got to go to uni today! And get an education! (though I didn't actually go to any classes... oops.) And the Mammal posters at uni make me think of you too =P

Hahaha, what kind of 'education' were you getting outside class? Wink

I actually got so excited when I was walking back to class and saw Mammal posters outside my uni that I took a picture of it to post in LJ so that I may squee some more. People were walking past and looking at me like I was weird lol. But it makes me really happy that they're getting so out there now.

I keep telling people to get the album but to not watch the DVD cause I don't want them to see me in it lol.

Hahaha it was the lying on the lawns playing cards kind of education =P

But my friend and I went and were going to do some work... but got sidetracked...
Image

Sorry for massive image. And it probably needs some explaining... my friend Simon (who shares the same last name as me... and my brother's name is Simon... crazy.) anyway, he has these two girls who have full time jobs with whom he flirts incessantly (oooh wow, I can't spell) over email. So I was all *I want one!* so he Googled it.
