First off, hi! thanks for taking the time to read all this stuff, at the current moment i may not have much, but that'll change eventually. comments are welcome of any kind. i'm new here to the whole poetry topic here on INO, but have lurked from time to time =]

well, here's a poem i had to write for creative writing. i have a ton more and will try to update every so often if you guys would like me to....

*I DON'T HAVE A TITLE YET, I'M TRYING TO THINK OF ONE THAT'LL REALLY FIT*

As you glance over to your mirror
Looking at that tiny stub,
Worth a million words;
Excessive excitement, ecstasy
Floods back into your veins.

The bass throbs through your ears,
The thundering drums become your pulse.
All a blur,
All surreal,
The time of your life.
These moments never get old.

As the shot rings out
You look up with wide eyes,
A smile spreads across your face.
Reaching for the stars,
Watching it fall from above

Like snow fluttering from the sky,
In blacks and whites,
Silvers and grays.

You felt invincible
In the sea of people.
Jumping, reaching, screaming, singing,
Teenagers rewound to elementary school children.
