About
Gerard WayFrank IeroMikey WayRay ToroBob Bryar Abigail Rose (and a surname that she is not putting on the internets because she has common sensez) was born on the second of June 1993(making her a Gemini), and hails from Yorkshire, England. Her home town was the birthplace of goth metal in the early nineties. Well, you’d be pretty gloomy too if you grew up there at that time. She doesn’t know how tall she is, but she’s not short, with hazel eyes and extremely long, messy brown hair that has never seen successful dye or anything really constituting as a style. She goes to her school simply because it looks like Hogwarts, and is beginning to wish she just went to the local comprehensive because it is a media collage.
Interests
Abigail spends her time not spent on the internet, TheSims2 or stressing over (but not actually doing) homework writing short stories, drawing in realist and stylised styles, writing songs and worrying about her mental health.
She has played guitar since February 2005. Her guitar is a dark blue and white Squier Telecaster named Moody Blue, and she has guitar lessons and would call herself “a pretty good guitar player if I’m playing, like, shitty stuff. I can stand there and bash out three power chords and be all ‘yeah, I rock’.” She has played in the recently disbanded Work In Progress (see quotes), and has recently managed to cobble together a band from some friends and her brother, currently named Kindermafia.
Musical Influences
Her first favourite band were Fleetwood Mac, when she was eight, but the band that got her into rock music were Green Day, when she was eleven, and she is still a loyal fan, she just wishes they would release some new stuff soon, because cover versions for charity, while all morally well and good, are not going to keep her attention for another two years.
Her favourite band is My Chemical Romance. Her secondary favourite bands are Smashing Pumpkins, Say Anything, Roxy Music, NoFX, Rancid, The Killers, The Ramones, David Bowie, The Misfits, Gallows, The Horrors and Queen. Her tertiary favourite bands are Iron Maiden, HelloGoodbye, Muse, T.Rex, Bullet For My Valentine, Descendents, Nirvana, Fall Out Boy (she reluctantly admits that they make wonderful music, even if Pete Wentz annoys her. Even if she’s never met the guy), Funeral For A Friend, Black Flag and Led Zeppelin.
Health and injuries
When she was seven she fell in the playground and her forehead collided with the corner of a wall, resulting in a trip to casualty and an overnight stay in hospital, with a Harry Potter-esque scar on the side of her head as a souvenir, as well as urban legend status at her old primary, where her younger brother has told her that the kids still say you can see traces of the pool of blood she left that cold day as she was whisked off in a dinner lady’s car.
She has never had any serious health troubles, but in mid December 2006 she had the flu so bad she was hallucinating, and there is one episode of The Simpsons that will never be the same again for her.
Quotes
“I’m gonna do this way cool thing with my INO profile, I’m gonna write it like a parody of the band member profiles on there, like with the ‘Health and injuries’ and ‘quotes’ section, and I’m gonna try and get a picture in the same place. It’s gonna be fun. If I could hack into INO and get it up there in the list with the band’s profiles, it’d be a scream, but I’m no good with computers.”
On Work In Progress, her old band “Someone said we sounded like R.E.M with a female singer. I don’t know, I don’t listen to R.E.M, from what I’ve heard of them I don’t really think we did. We were like… if Amy Lee from Evanescence was kind of ill and had a backing band of, like, someone who secretly wanted to be in a punk band, someone who secretly didn’t want to be there, a backing singer who secretly wanted to be lead singer and no drummer.”
“I dress to impress and I dress to shock. Like if I walk down the street and someone turns and stares, I get a kick out of that.”
“I think I could probably draw a face before I could walk. It must have looked pretty deformed though. More like a face someone makes out of food, like with a sausage mouth and mushroom eyes and baked bean curly hair.”
“If I’m not writing a story now I’m a little bit on edge, looking for something else to write a story about. I’ve got myself addicted.”
“Hah! I was on the INO message boards last night and I caused controversies!”
“My Chemical Romance own my confused, lost and easily led soul. Like it was at a train station after getting off the train and it didn’t know what to do or where to go and it was close to tears and all alone and then The Black Parade came out and they were like ‘Yoink, you’re coming with us!’ so my soul was all like ‘eh? Oh, okay then.’”
“I think I’m smarter than I am when I write. Sometimes I just write this weird stuff and expect people to understand it, but no-one does. And I use big words. I could be writing shit. Shit consisting of big words and dramatic sentence structure. Oh dear.”
“I hate the fact that I’m not the best at anything anymore. In school my art class now consists of twelve people who actually want to be there too and I can never be the best. So I just try to silently convince myself that I have more imagination than them and I get through. Like ‘well you may be good looking, smart, sporty and now good at art too, but I’m more imaginative than you. So there.’”
“I’m going to be a rock star. I’m getting a bit bored of careers advice, and sort of coyly writing ‘musician in a rock band’ on green sheets of paper. I don’t need your GCSE’s. I just maybe need singing lessons, and I’ll be sorted.”
