Ok guys, what is up? My name's Shane, and I really look forward to talking to all of you. The thing I hate about most forums is that minor disagreements can change into arguments that are much larger than they should be. But the awesome thing about this site is that we can all agree on something: That My Chemical Romance is one of the best bands ever formed. And for me, they aren't just one of my favorites, they ARE my favorite, no band will ever come close to them in my mind. Its just their style; the melodies combined with the guitar thrashing, Gerard's beautifully unique vocals, the persona and charisma of each member, absolutely everything. I owe them my life because of all the things they have gotten me through, as well as the musical inspiration they provide me. Because of this, I am currently working on a band that is similar in style to MCR in a lot of ways, but at the same time doing its best to honor the boys in black without ripping off their sound. I play guitar, have been for about a year, and it is my passion, tied in with music. Currently I am trying to learn the entire Black Parade album (my favorite of my chem's work, forgive me I'm a relative newcomer to the fanbase). In my life, the most important things to me follow in this order: my relationship with Jesus and others, putting together crazy schemes with my friends like setting my room on fire (long story), and music. I like anything melodic with good guitars and good vocals, mainly bands in the punk-hardcore genre with a lead singer with choke-like vocals and dirty guitar riffs.
