Art of Misery

I could've just let go of the past
I should've stop trying to make things last
Believing seems so hard
Some say that if you're too dedicated to it, you're a retard

But no, I won't let go
They say I should, but what do they know?
All they say is "follow the rules" like hell why?
I'd never live by this and rather die

My parents? They don't really care
They're just rekclessly strict, that's kind of fair
My friends? They're just there for the fun of it
When I need them, I'd stay in one corner and sit

Looks to me like we all lack sympathy
But that's why we all end up as a nobody
Now I'm empty, with my conscience killing my sight and me
Would you be here to save me, or will i forever be unable to see?
