How're you going to find a non-dodgy piercer[correct terminology?] to pierce your septum? I mean, if you're as old as you say, you're 13. Not the legal age in any country as far as I know. |

It's intriguing, though.

NEVER remove the jewellery from a piercing until it is fully healed unless you intend to let it grow over (ie you don't want the piercing anymore). Taking the jewellery out not only allows germs to get in a lot easier, but causes irritation and injury when reinserting the jewellery.
If the earring is a sleeper (ring), cleaning is super-easy. Just use saline solution, dab it around the piercing (front and back) with a cotton bud (q-tip), then drip some on the ring and turn it so the liquid goes into the flesh. Do that a few times a day and you should be laughing.
If the earring is a standard post, it's a litte trickier, but just do the swabbing on front and back on the skin, push the earring forward and drip saline on it, then pull it out at the back a little and drip saline on the back, pushing it back in so the liquid goes in. Make sure to turn the earring in a circle three or four times to ensure it doesn't stick (crusties are a natural part of healing and can cause injury if you allow the earring to get stuck, then pull at it), and then leave it alone. Also, don't be rough with it - earlobes are fairly delicate.
Avoid chlorinated pools (swimming at the beach, however, is a gret idea as the salt water will be a huge help in healing) for a few weeks, try not to let your hair get tangled in it if you have long hair (keeping it tied back is preferable as oils and product in your hair can irritate and cause infection), and you should be pretty well right |

and when I twist the right one puss/blood [I know for a fact part of the shizz that comes out is blood] and my mom and I took it out ALL day yesterday. and it hurt like a bitch to take out. [yes. they are healed] but...the reason we took em out was to clean my ear. then we went to go put it back in, I just couldn't do [hurt like a BITCH] so we left it out. plus when I kinda put it in [not all the way, just a bit] it would start to bleed. my mom thinks its infected or something. but I have no clue.....so help? =]
oh. and last night I was able to put it back in [pain was there, duh] but its in now....and.....yeah. so help will be very appreciated. =D |

Definitely infected. Probably you've ruptured/damaged the flesh a little by taking it out and trying to push it back it (that's what made it bleed when putting it back in).
This one sounds pretty bad (although it might be a relatively minor infection, as soon as I hear 'blood' mentioned, I get concerned lol), but my advice is definitely take these out (unless you want just the one un-infected earring left in, up to you), go to the doctor and ask them to prescribe a course of antibiotics to knock that infection on the head, and when the holes are healed completely over, go get them pierced again.
MAKE SURE THE PIERCER USES A NEEDLE, NOT A GUN, as a gun uses blunt force trauma to insert the jewellery and not only does a fair bit of damage to your flesh, but a piece of the outer layer of skin can get stuck in the tunnel and wall itself off, causing infection, scar tissue, cysts, and all kids of fun, really uncomfortable/painful situations.
Once you're pierced again, keep it clean by using either 15% tea-tree oil (you can get it from supermarkets) or saline solution (you can get it from pharmacies) - use a cotton bud/ball soaked in either solution and swab the jewellery and area around it (ie the skin around it) twice/three times daily. You can use the saline or tea-tree oil on the infected area now, but be warned, the tea-tree oil will sting like a bitch.
Good luck, just don't try to get that jewellery back in again, you'll do far more harm than good. |

i might get that
I have the nape of my neck pierced, but the piercer put discs on instead of balls.
Does anyone here have any experience taking staples out? I don't want to take it out now, but if or when I do, should I have a piercer take it out? |
