To me, it's just stubborn and really arrogant to refuse to change your mind or admit you were wrong once new evidence comes to light on a subject. I'm glad you're able to accept that there are many different opinions on this touchy subject, and glad that you're willing to absorb new ideas and theories and then apply them to your own beliefs and feelings - I'm always willing to educate myself and learn more on something so I can form a more informed opinion on a topic. I agree - abortion should definitely be kept legal, as I feel the mother's life and wellbeing is far more important than a clump of cells that doesn't know any different to begin with. |

I believe that I have a right to do whatever I want with my own body, and that God has no influence over my decisions. Nor should religion have any influence over the government and laws - therefore, abortion should have absolutely nothing to do with religion. If Christians believe God said abortion is wrong, then Christians shouldn't have abortions. But me, I don't follow their doctrines and therefore I shouldn't be denied the right to have an abortion if that's what I feel is right. My body and my choices are none of their business. It's like alcohol - it's legal, but people who don't approve of it or wish to use it simply don't drink it. They don't go around trying to get it banned, because other people have the right to make their own decisions. |

Not that there is really a right or wrong to this argument, it's all about individual opinions and feelings, but at least you're willing to admit that you don't know everything and are able to say you can shange your mind based on what you've learned recently. | dear matthew Joining The Black Parade  Age: - Gender: Male Posts: 186 | Cigarettes And Suicide:im glad someone does have the courage to change there mind and say it. like people said thats really mature of you but onto the subject of abortion:: abortion kills. theres simply no other way to put it. i dont understand if the baby wont be treated correctly then you put it up for adoption. i dont see whats so hard to beleive about that. 1 out of 3 babies in this country will become victims of an abortion. i know and we all know that 1 and 3 parents in this country aren't that poor. i used to live and detriot and despite all their finacial struggles of my neighbors they all had the money to have children. theres no moral in killing human. when people say you can then your being selfish. most of you dont understand we were all fetus' once too. we could have been aborted but for the right reasons our parents did not. theres always adoption, and theres no need to kill the innocent. most you could say its like your having your period. well, thats your point of view. i do repect that a women has a right to choose but its at the point where abortion is becoming an icon of our society. its being used by people who really dont need abortions. im fine with abortions through rape. thats reasonable cause. but to go out have sex have an abortion and repeat the process might seem like thats emphasized too much, but thats the reality of what is happening today. |

Even if they are not poor, the family that has them may be unfit parents (I am very rich and my parents arn't very fit) There are no morals in killing anything, but if a fetus is aborted before the second trimester, it's like a woman having her period. There is nothing inside the fetus to speak of that is killing. It has no functional brain, and no feelings. That would be saying that we should somehow fertalize all of our eggs: It doesn't make sense to me. |
